#7 day AIS Challenge - Day 2 - Scraper Time

"The Emerald" is one of my favorite podcasts. "Current events and trends through a mythic lens," goes the tagline. The premise is simple - look at what's happening in the world and relate it to spiritual / religious / esoteric wisdom & practices.

Here's an example:

One of my favorite episodes is called "The Body Is The Metaverse". When VR and the Metaverse were all the rage a few years ago, the episode made the point that people were buying a headset + someone else's vision of virtual reality because they had lost access to their own. The actual metaverse is well known to meditators, psycho-nauts, breathwork practitioners, etc.

Anyway, I built out the scraper from this day's project to pull relevant data (title, air date, url, description) for all episodes from 2024 until now. Excited to peruse them and find a few that I'd like to listen to on an upcoming flight.

I can see this being helpful for turning websites into live databases in a future project.
