I started Yesterday. Jumped ship and started experimenting with the VERY little I knew. I messed around with the Agentic AI to fabricate some Godot (Game Engine) and realized the importance of this challenge. It teaches the fundamentals. So I restarted from scratch this afternoon.
I Followed the steps, but avoided NanoBanana and Perplexity. The agent just creates a newsletter through python as an HTML with some infographics. It's either using it's own knowledge base or checking wikipedia for now. It tried checking some official sites, it even checked my businesses social media accounts.
I think what I created was a great marketing newsletter agent specifically tailored to my business that can send create the infographics internally (no api keys needed?), and send emails using my businesses gmail accont. I also preemptively had it generate an email list in google sheets that it(or I) could maintain with an unsubscribe button.
What I learned is that when I hit a road block that wasn't covered in Day 1, Claude was able to guide me through getting what I needed and how to do it. It wasn't perfect in giving instructions, but sharing screenshots when I got stuck, Claude kept me going in the right direction.
What I'm improving now is to make the email not so "Markety", I'm looking at how to include sources about Taekwondo News that's off the beaten path. Hopefully to develop it's ability to research from a very niche circle. Maybe it can watch a podcast and get the key takeaways about the drama and the politics within Taekwondo. There's a lot of self-promotion in this space, especially within the organizations that govern the sport and credentials; through my experience that has led practitioners in the wrong direction and forget about the importance of what we're doing here in the first place.
But, also, I'd like to go back and create an agent that can do this for any business or industry. It feels like this is specifically tailored to me and my audience.
If you check out the HTMLs, don't mind the broken images. They only work when viewing through email.
