In this course, I will explain the basic rules of outdoor navigation using a map and compass. You will learn how to prepare the map before setting off and how to keep track of your location. We will discuss the scale of the map and review a variety of topographic symbols. At the end of the course, I will set you some simple homework to test your skills!
