🎧 REAL TALK: What Happened On My LIVE Last Night (And Why It's The Best Lesson You'll Get This Week)
πŸ’œπŸ™πŸΎ First, thank you to everyone who pulled up to the LIVE last night. I see you and I appreciate you.
Now let me keep it real because this is a teaching moment.
Last night my LIVE got glitchy. People were telling me in the chat that things weren't smooth. Instead of panicking, I turned the music down, started asking the chat questions to keep people engaged, and quietly tried to troubleshoot. I kept talking. I kept the energy up. I didn't freak out.
Some people said it got better. But new viewers were still saying it was glitchy. So I made the call to end the LIVE about 30 minutes early. And that was the RIGHT call.
Here's the lesson:
Things WILL go wrong on your LIVE. Your sound card might act up. Your internet might lag. Your music might cut out. It's not IF β€” it's WHEN. It happens to me. It happens to creators with millions of followers. It will happen to you.
When something goes wrong, here's the playbook:
Don't panic. The moment you say "oh no my audio is messed up" you give every viewer a reason to leave. Keep your composure.
Buy yourself time. Ask the chat questions. Keep people engaged while you quietly troubleshoot. "Where's everybody from tonight?" "What do you want to hear next?"
Make small adjustments. Turn the music down. Toggle your settings. Sometimes a small fix solves everything without anyone noticing.
If it doesn't get better β€” end it gracefully. No shame in cutting it short. "I'm wrapping up early tonight but I'll be back soon with an even better set. Follow me so you don't miss it." Then fix the issue and come back stronger.
Go LIVE again. Don't let one bad LIVE stop you. The comeback LIVE almost always performs better.
πŸ”₯ Now here's the real reason I'm telling you this:
I know the #1 reason most of you haven't gone LIVE yet. It's not your sound card. It's not your follower count. It's fear. You're afraid something is going to go wrong and you'll look stupid.
Last night something DID go wrong β€” and I'm fine. My brand is fine. My followers are still there. And I'll be back LIVE again TODAY.
Your LIVE doesn't need to be perfect. You just need to show up, handle whatever comes, and keep going. That's the whole game.
Have you ever had something go wrong on a LIVE or are you afraid something WILL go wrong? Drop it below.
Let's talk about it. πŸ‘‡πŸ”₯
