Hey all, I've been thinking about the possibility of this happening and I've formed a theory which makes a lot of sense (and might actually be true)
I'm not a massive fan of Iman, but I'm aware that he recently shared on social media that he made one of the largest investments of his life and that it was into a software company.
Firstly, let’s understand WHY Iman Gadzhi would do this. 👇
- Shifting from crap info products
Iman has made a significant portion of his wealth through selling courses to his audience, but they’ve also led to criticism and diminished his authority. There's a growing perception among younger audiences that courses are outdated or less valuable.
With Iman investing in software, it aligns more with the image of a “sophisticated entrepreneur” rather than a "course seller" — which Iman wants to shift from.
2. Appeal of the SaaS Business model
we all know that software businesses are higher leverage than info, mainly due to their exit potential (10-15x earnings) AND consistent recurring revenue
software also typically has low operational costs and high profit margins after its initially built. In this case, skool’s infrastructure already exists so he won’t need to invest large amounts of money in actually building the product.
3. Personal Brand Synergy
most of Iman's followers are interested in building businesses. Iman can promote skool as the solution to starting your first business (this is the same marketing angle Alex Hormozi has used to shift skool’s perception as a platform)
he’ll also have a dual revenue stream, being able to have his existing courses on skool as well as earning through the platform’s revenue.
he could be planning to offer his courses for free as a value-add to his software businesses, positioning himself as more of a “innovator” than a course seller.
4. The Vision
Iman recognizes the potential for Skool to become one of the dominant community-building softwares in a rapidly growing shift toward online communities.
Skool’s potential aligns with market trends - also making it a future-proof investment
How you can get rich off of this: 💸
- building
- use skool to build a niche community around your expertise or passion (e.g. fitness, entrepreneurship, or remote work)
- make it free, leverage the fact that the platform will openly push skool communities in their marketing & main website
- partner with brands/softwares as an affiliate and create a program where you push these products as the key to achieving a result your audience needs
- rack up $$$ passively
- partnering
- approach creators with existing/shit info funnels
- provide upfront value
- handle the entire backend (community, product, sales process)
- take a %
and that’s all!
