🔥 Lunar New Year Transition – Welcoming the Fire Horse (Feb 17, 2026) 🔥🐎
Tomorrow marks Lunar New Year and the official beginning of the Year of the Fire Horse. We are closing the chapter on the Year of the Wood Snake. And energetically? You can feel the shift. Snake years are about shedding, strategy, slow transformation, internal recalibration. Horse years are movement, fire, visibility, momentum, boldness. Collectively, this aligns so deeply with what many of us have been feeling — like we’ve been pressed, refined, restructured… and now we’re ready to move. Let’s talk about how to welcome this properly through traditional Chinese custom and feng shui principles — respectfully and intentionally. 🌙 What Happens on Lunar New Year’s Day (Traditionally) In many Chinese households, on the first day of the New Year, people traditionally do not: • Wash their hair • Shower • Do laundry • Sweep • Take out the garbage Why? Because symbolically, you do not want to “wash away” or “sweep out” the good fortune entering the home. The Chinese word for hair (发 / fa) sounds like prosperity (发财 / fa cai). So washing hair on Day 1 is avoided to prevent washing away abundance. Firecrackers and fireworks historically clear stagnant energy and invite good luck — and the first day is about receiving, not expelling. This isn’t superstition. It’s symbolic alignment. 🧹 What To Do Tonight (Feb 16) If you’re choosing to work with this energetically: ✨ Clean your home tonight. ✨ Sweep out corners. ✨ Take out garbage. ✨ Do laundry. ✨ Wash your hair. ✨ Shower intentionally. As you do it, set the intention: “I release 2025. I release stagnation. I release what I have shed.” This is the conscious closing ritual. 🔥 What To Do Tomorrow (Feb 17 – Fire Horse Begins) Tomorrow is about: • Receiving • Wearing something bright (red is traditional for luck) • Speaking positively • Avoiding arguments • Letting the new frequency settle From a feng shui perspective, you want your space calm, uncluttered, and energetically open. You are not scrubbing.

🌹 Happy Valentine’s Day – From a Different Narrative
For a long time, Valentine’s Day carried weight for me. It wasn’t just a romantic holiday. It was the day my ex-husband proposed. So for years, it held layers — love, disappointment, trauma, healing, memories, growth. And if I’m being honest, there was a season where I leaned into the “Happy Single Awareness Day” narrative. It was easier to armor up than to soften. But here’s what years of therapy, self-reflection, energetic alignment, manifestation work, and deep inner healing have taught me: Valentine’s Day is not about who chooses you. It’s about whether you choose yourself. There was a time when my worth felt entangled with relationships. When love felt conditional. When disappointment felt personal. Now? My self-worth, my value, my happiness — they are the core alignment of who I am. And when you take care of yourself, when you honour your own energy, when you move in integrity with your needs… everything else aligns. Not because life becomes perfect — but because you become anchored. Today I celebrated differently. • I cleaned the skiff of snow off my truck even though “old me” would’ve skipped it… and drove past a police officer two minutes later. Divine protection in the smallest of choices. • I went to yoga alone — something a previous version of me would never have done. • I stepped outside to check on my bees, and both of my hives are still alive — fingers crossed that continues as we move through the rest of winter. As a newer beekeeper, there is something deeply humbling about watching a hive survive the cold. They cluster together. They conserve energy. They trust the stores they prepared. They endure quietly. And in many ways, that mirrors my own life. There were seasons where I had to cluster inward. Conserve my energy. Trust the work I had already done. Endure the cold without proof of spring. Healing isn’t loud. Growth isn’t always visible. Sometimes survival is the miracle. • I was gifted a free shirt — abundance flowing. • Tomorrow I’ll continue self-care: massage, sauna, swim.

🌿 A Day of Hydrotherapy, New Moon Magic & Milkweed Medicine 🌙✨
Today felt like a much-needed exhale — the kind that melts your shoulders down from your ears and reminds your nervous system that it’s safe to soften again. I spent the most beautiful 4.5 hours at a hydrotherapy spa with a dear friend, and it was my first time ever experiencing anything like it. Cold plunges that woke up every cell. Hot tubs that wrapped us in warmth. Saltwater relaxation pools. Saunas and steam rooms that felt like they were pulling the heaviness straight out of the bones. Hot stone beds that softened places I didn’t realize had been clenched tight for months. Salt scrub showers that felt like a renewal. Delicious food. Wood-burning fires to nestle beside as our spirits recalibrated. It was medicine. Not the kind you swallow — the kind you surrender to. Hydrotherapy is profound for a reason. The contrast between cold and heat taps directly into your parasympathetic nervous system, helping regulate stress patterns, release stagnant emotional buildup, and bring your body back into balance. Being immersed in water — especially warm, mineral-infused water — signals your system to relax, rejuvenate, and re-center. It’s like giving your body permission to begin again. And in the midst of all of this, something magical happened. While we were floating in one of the warm saltwater pools, the sun broke through the clouds and lit us up in the softest, golden warmth. We started talking about the new moon energy in Scorpio — a time of deep intention-setting, truth-telling, shedding skins, and calling forward what our souls are truly ready for. If you’ve ever done any of my moon rituals, you know new moons are the moment of becoming. Of planting the seeds. Of declaring what you are ready to receive. So we took turns speaking our intentions into the water — letting our voices become part of the ritual, letting the moment itself become ceremony. And right then… the breeze picked up and tiny milkweed seeds began drifting between us. Floating. Dancing. Landing on the water like little blessings.

🌿 Mindful Monday: Relationship Energy Check-In
Over the past few days, many have noticed tension or emotional turbulence in their relationships. Recent planetary and energetic movements may help explain why things feel heightened or unsettled. 🔭 Current Cosmic Influences ✨ Venus in Libra – Venus, the planet of love and harmony, entered Libra, the sign of partnership and balance. This can amplify both the desire for peace and the awareness of imbalance in relationships. 🌫️ Venus Opposite Neptune (Retrograde) – This aspect can create confusion or idealism in relationships, making it easy to misread signals or project what we wish to see. Clear communication is essential. 🔥 Pluto Direct in Aquarius – Pluto’s direct motion can bring transformation and expose hidden emotions or power dynamics. It encourages self-awareness and the release of outdated relationship patterns. 🌕 Moon–Ketu Conjunction in Leo – This alignment can surface karmic lessons and emotional intensity. It often prompts reflection on authenticity, expression, and attachment. 💫 Key Themes - Revisiting unresolved emotional or communication issues - Gaining insight into hidden dynamics - Experiencing increased emotional sensitivity or nostalgia - Releasing relationships or patterns that no longer align While this energy may feel disruptive, it ultimately supports growth and clarity. These shifts can help you understand what truly serves your peace and purpose. 🌱 Mindful Reflection for Today Take a moment to reflect on the following: - What relationship patterns or emotions are resurfacing? - Where might I restore balance or clarity? - How can I express my needs with honesty and respect? Remember, discomfort often accompanies growth. Awareness is the first step toward positive change. Share one mindful action you’re taking to ground yourself or strengthen your relationships this week. Are you journaling, setting boundaries, or initiating open communication? Together, we can turn emotional turbulence into conscious transformation. 💖
