Today felt like a much-needed exhale — the kind that melts your shoulders down from your ears and reminds your nervous system that it’s safe to soften again.
I spent the most beautiful 4.5 hours at a hydrotherapy spa with a dear friend, and it was my first time ever experiencing anything like it. Cold plunges that woke up every cell. Hot tubs that wrapped us in warmth. Saltwater relaxation pools. Saunas and steam rooms that felt like they were pulling the heaviness straight out of the bones. Hot stone beds that softened places I didn’t realize had been clenched tight for months. Salt scrub showers that felt like a renewal. Delicious food. Wood-burning fires to nestle beside as our spirits recalibrated.
It was medicine.
Not the kind you swallow — the kind you surrender to.
Hydrotherapy is profound for a reason.
The contrast between cold and heat taps directly into your parasympathetic nervous system, helping regulate stress patterns, release stagnant emotional buildup, and bring your body back into balance. Being immersed in water — especially warm, mineral-infused water — signals your system to relax, rejuvenate, and re-center. It’s like giving your body permission to begin again.
And in the midst of all of this, something magical happened.
While we were floating in one of the warm saltwater pools, the sun broke through the clouds and lit us up in the softest, golden warmth. We started talking about the new moon energy in Scorpio — a time of deep intention-setting, truth-telling, shedding skins, and calling forward what our souls are truly ready for.
If you’ve ever done any of my moon rituals, you know new moons are the moment of becoming.
Of planting the seeds.
Of declaring what you are ready to receive.
So we took turns speaking our intentions into the water — letting our voices become part of the ritual, letting the moment itself become ceremony.
And right then… the breeze picked up and tiny milkweed seeds began drifting between us. Floating. Dancing. Landing on the water like little blessings.
If you know the medicine of milkweed, you’ll understand why this moment hit us so deeply.
Milkweed seeds symbolize:
- Wish fulfillment
- Transformation & metamorphosis
- The courage to expand
- Releasing old versions of self
- Trusting the wind to carry you where you’re meant to go
- New beginnings blessed by the Universe
Monarch butterflies can only transform because of milkweed — and today, it felt like the Universe was whispering:
“You are in your own metamorphosis. Trust the timing.”
It was one of those moments where the physical and spiritual worlds overlapped — where the ritual found us, not the other way around.
Walking out of the spa today, I felt reset. Not in the superficial way, but in the deep-down-in-the-body way. My nervous system felt quieter. My mind felt clearer. My heart felt softer. My energy felt aligned again with what I’m calling forward.
We don’t give ourselves enough of these moments.
Moments to slow down.
To recalibrate.
To reconnect to our bodies and our intuition.
To let the Universe show us signs when we’re actually slow enough to notice them.
Today reminded me that healing isn’t always loud or dramatic.
Sometimes it’s warm water, a quiet room, a sunbeam, a friend you can be fully yourself with, and a handful of milkweed seeds floating by at the exact right moment.
May this new moon in Scorpio bring you the transformation you’ve been craving, the clarity you’ve been seeking, and the courage to call in what your soul has been whispering for.
And may you be open enough to notice the signs — even the tiny winged seeds carried on the wind.
