It counts if you: ✅ Understood a sentence in a French video without subtitles ✅ Remembered a word you learned last week without checking ✅ Said "Bonjour" or "Merci" out loud to a real person ✅ Got through a whole post in this community without translating ✅ Finally got être and avoir straight in your head ✅ Noticed a French word in a movie, song, or menu and understood it 💡 Why this matters: your brain remembers wins way better than it remembers "I should have studied more." Naming the win out loud reinforces it — and it shows everyone else in this community what progress actually looks like at their stage. 🎯 Your SMART GOAL of the Day Hello my people! I want to know everyone's goal of the day. A language is an everyday challenge if you want to progress. You don't want to spend one day without learning an expression, a word, a slang expression, a verb, etc. So today, let's make it official with a SMART goal: ✅ Specific — Not "I'll study French today," but "I'll learn 5 new words about food." ✅ Measurable — Something you can check off: 5 words, 1 verb conjugated, 3 sentences written. ✅ Achievable — Small enough that you'll actually do it, even on a busy day. ✅ Relevant — Connected to what YOU want French for (travel, retiring in France, talking to family, DELF A1...). ✅ Time-bound — Today. Not "someday." Today, before you go to bed. 💡 Some examples to inspire you: "Today I will learn the 5 "avoir" expressions (avoir faim, avoir soif, avoir raison, avoir tort, avoir ___ ans)." "Today I will practice ordering a coffee out loud 3 times: 'Je voudrais un café, s'il vous plaît.'" "Today I will write 3 sentences about my family using mon/ma/mes." "Today I will watch one lesson video and repeat every sentence out loud." It doesn't have to be big. It just has to be TODAY.
