Did you know that books have seasonality? 📚
One thing I’ve noticed after publishing multiple books 📚 over the years is that sales often start to climb in the fall and winter months… and then soften a bit during spring and summer. And honestly, it makes sense. When the weather gets colder, people spend more time indoors, scroll online more, listen to more audiobooks during commutes, and look for ways to learn, escape, or improve themselves. Meanwhile, spring and summer tend to shift attention toward vacations, outdoor activities, family events, and just being out living life. Even major retailers plan around this behavior. The publishing industry sees strong momentum during: ➡️ Back-to-school season ➡️ Q4 holiday shopping ➡️ New Year “new me” self-improvement season That’s why it’s important not to panic if your sales dip a little during warmer months. A slower season doesn’t automatically mean your book is failing. This is actually a GREAT time to: - Build your catalog - Improve your listings - Gather reviews - Optimize your keywords - Prepare for stronger Q4 traffic later in the year Think of it like planting seeds before the busy shopping season arrives. 🌱 Now I’m curious… Have you personally noticed certain times of year where you buy or read more books? Or do your habits stay the same year-round?

@Chris Hanlon that's exactly what crossed my mind and the reason why i aim to write in English and Spanish.
Book + YouTube + Skool = GROWTH
📖 If you currently have a book in progress and maybe you're also working on growing your own community, one ingredient that might be missing from your recipe for success is YouTube. People don't usually open YouTube because they're bored and mindlessly scrolling. They go there because they want to learn something, solve a problem, be entertained, or explore something new. That matters because the people finding you are often actively looking for answers. And if you're sitting there thinking, "I'll start YouTube after I publish my book..." or "I'll start after my community grows..." — no. Start now. The numbers alone make a strong case: ➡️ YouTube has over 2.5–2.7 billion monthly users worldwide ➡️ More than 122 million people use YouTube daily ➡️ People watch over 1 billion hours of content every day Unlike quick-scroll platforms where content disappears in a day or two, YouTube videos can continue showing up in search for months or even years. One video can introduce people to your book, your expertise, your community, and your offers while you're sleeping. And when it comes to communities like Skool, YouTube can become a powerful funnel because people get to know YOU first. They hear your voice, see your personality, learn from you, and build trust before ever clicking "Join." People who already know, like, and trust you often become stronger community members than someone who randomly lands on a page. Today I also want to spotlight @Des Dreckett and his community THE CONTENT REVENUE LAB, who has been an amazing partner on this journey and one of the top referrers in this community. Des teaches people how to use YouTube not only as a way to grow a business but also as an additional income stream. You do NOT need thousands of subscribers to begin. You just need to begin.

Yes, I have a YT channel. I record content; however the editing, writing titles, and descriptions take time, as a result they hardly ever get uploaded.

My next book (6-8+ years of age) is a children’s book, the first came to be the closest approach to what I have in mind for illustration, the colors are nor quite to my liking. Beatrix Potter is my ideal for children. I lean more towards reds, black and white for my niche.
What Books Did You Read in Childhood?
📚 Throwback Question: What Did You Read as a Kid? I was thinking back to my childhood reading habits, and it hit me how different they were compared to what I read now. Back then, I was all about fun, fictional books—anything that kept me entertained and pulled me into a story. One of my favorites was the Goosebumps series. I used to fly through those books as a pre-teen. And then when the Goosebumps show came out, it was such a cool experience seeing those stories come to life. I remember noticing how some parts were different from what I had imagined while reading—which made it even more fun. It really made me realize how powerful storytelling is… especially when it sticks with you years later. Now I’m curious—what about YOU? - What books or series did you love growing up? - Were you into fiction, or something totally different? - Did any of those stories stick with you into adulthood? Drop your favorites below 👇 Let’s take a little trip down memory lane.

Coming from a foreign land, not having access to books, the first book I was introduced to in my new home was a picture dictionary. I loved the images and fantasizing about the language.
