Welcome Zoë Coade to the community!! We are brand new and still learning the ropes, I'm excited to have you along for the journey! I have a few small presentations on common issues horse owners face such as colic, abscess, and basic nutrition and care. As we grow i will be adding more educational content, I'm always looking for suggestions on what people are struggling with. I have over 30 years as an equine professional, I have developed lots of tools for my horse handling tool box; I'm excited to use my experience to help guide other horse lovers.

I would love to know your thoughts on supplements? I’m a big fan of less is more! But the market has changed so much, lot of pressure buying! I remember the good ole days when we fed a simple chaff, pony nuts, barely and or oats and in the winter beet. On a Sunday a bran mash with two raw eggs, seems ridiculous now but it worked. Zero health issues like horses can have today. It’s like the rations are poisonous like our super markets if we are not careful in selection of each horses needs. Thanks for any input 🐴✨🫶

Thank you - always nice to hear other experiences! Here in NL depending on where the hay comes from, if from here, we have a magnesium, Vit E and selenium deficient hay (and grass.) so we have to supplement! But for the most part I feed a balancer and grass mix. In the UK where I lived we had far too much copper in the soil, so that also required assistance depending on the horse. ✨🐴
