Welcome to the community!
Welcome Becky Hayslip the community!! We are brand new and still learning the ropes, I'm excited to have you along for the journey! I have a few small presentations on common issues horse owners face such as colic, abscess, and basic nutrition and care. As we grow i will be adding more educational content, I'm always looking for suggestions on what people are struggling with. I have over 30 years as an equine professional, I have developed lots of tools for my horse handling tool box; I'm excited to use my experience to help guide other horse lovers.

Educating young horses takes patience, consistency, and time.
Educating young horses takes patience, consistency, and time. Every youngster learns at their own pace, but all of them need encouragement and repetition to understand what we’re asking. It’s just as much about us learning to communicate with them as it is about them learning from us. If things don’t go right at first, slow down, reset, and try again. Horses feel our energy—frustration only makes the learning harder. Meet Freya, a 3-year-old Warlander mare. This was the day she learned to lunge. She’s a smart girl and picked it up quickly, but it still took a few tries to clearly communicate what I wanted. With consistency and positive reinforcement, she was lunging like a pro in under 20 minutes. Small steps, clear communication, and calm energy go a long way. 🐴✨ #YoungHorseTraining #HorseDevelopment #LungingTraining #HorsemanshipJourney #PositiveReinforcement #Warlander #HorseTrainerLife #PatienceAndConsistency #GroundworkGoals #EquestrianEducation

Trust is earned
Meet Westley and Buttercup! I am luck enough to be part of the care and development team for these two BLM mustangs. This will be an amazing journey of trust and connection as I build a relationship with these two traumatized mustangs.

A new beginning.
I had my first interaction with this lovely mare today. She is a 4 year old OTTB mare name Star. She raced 4 times and never placed, clearly she does not want to run 😆. Our rescue Rustic Ranch Rescue and Rehabilitation in Ramona California acquired her this week and together we began the journey to her new career. We are considering entering her in the Retired Racehorse Project. This mare has a very bright future in front of her. :-)
