Getting the ball rolling
Asalamualaikum Sisters, I hope you’re all well💗 I’m in need of some advice and I’d love to hear what you have to offer me. I would like to get married In Sha Allah. I’ve never fully acknowledged the desire for it because everyone around me seemed to think otherwise for many reasons. Alhamdulilah Allah SWT is enabling me drown out the noise and decide for myself. My dilemma is I do not know how to start the process. I tried Muzz and I was on it for less than 24 hours before deleting my account 😅. I don’t know why but it felt uncomfortable being on there. I don’t know if being on apps is the way to go? But I also stay indoors a lot and I do not go for events so I do not know how else to go about it. I would appreciate any advice you have to offer💗 Also, I apologize if this has been or will be discussed during the 5 day classes, unfortunately I can’t attend due to work.

Asalamualaikum sisters, I’ve been waiting to feel fully ready (without fear and doubt) or be perfect before committing to finding a spouse or even starting the process. In my family, the conversation surrounding marriage has been “do all you want to do before you get married”, “this is your chance to be free before you get married”; and I have to admit that it has filled me with more fear than hope. I’ve also been telling myself that I have to be at a certain level financially, be a specific way etc before marriage. I keep coming up with so many things I have to work on or achieve before I can get married. In one of the live classes, @Mindful Muslimah mentioned that you can grow with your spouse. This has inspired me to change my outlook on marriage and Alhamdulilah I’m trying to embark on this journey now. Some actions I am taking: 1. Completing the Muslim Marriage Lab course - I’ve put this off because of how doubtful I’ve been regarding my readiness for marriage. 2. Volunteering at my masjid more, to build a community as I’ve always been one to be indoors. May Allah grant ease to me and every sister on here who is embarking on this journey, may He grant us spouses that would be a source of peace and tranquility for us. Allahumma Ameen🌸

Asalamualaikum sisters 🌸 My name is Zeinab, and I’m joining you all from Canada. I have been overwhelmed with approaching the marriage process and I want to gain clarity as to how to do it in the most pleasing way to Allah.
