Free Resource: High Quality Waite-Smith Tarot Images
Over the years, I realized that the images you could find online of the Waite-Smith Tarot were of inconsistent size and quality. I was trying to build diagrams and other visual materials using these, and they would inevitably end up looking rather disheveled. I took it upon myself to take a set of high quality photos of the cards, get them in Photoshop, and adjust them so that they all had a consistent and aligned design. Due to the natural inconsistent alignment of any industrial print machinery, these digitally nudged versions are actually the most symmetrical and consistent Waite-Smith images you'll ever find. Please feel free to download them and use them as you see fit. The Waite-Smith images are in the public domain. I've added them to a new section of "Classroom" I'm calling "The Library". I'll continue to add useful resources there in the future.

I LOVE this! Thank you for the time you put into doing this!!! This will truly help me learn because I can make “cheat sheets” and memory helpers with them! I have made so many materials for my classroom over the years, I am really happy to be using supplies and equipment I’ve invested in to be making something for my personal use!! Yay!💕
Card Challenge: The Fool
Card Challenges are exercises designed to immerse you in the energies of each card. You can do any/all parts of the challenge. Please create a new post in the Card Challenges category to share your results. This week's card is The Fool The Writing Challenge 5 paragraphs on one of the following topics: 1. The biggest risk I ever took 2. What I would do with my life if I knew I couldn’t fail 3. The kind of failure I work hardest to avoid 4. What I love about dogs The Quest Go get your Tarot deck. Keep it with you as you go about your day. The next person you encounter, no matter who it is, offer them a reading. Don’t worry about whether you’re a good Tarot reader or not. Don’t worry about “knowing what the cards mean”. Just try any kind of reading and see what comes to mind when you look at each card. Remember that you and the querent are having fun and you can’t “get it wrong”. Tell us about how it goes. The Reading Pull the Fool card out of your deck and put it at the center. Draw four cards to place around the Fool as follows: 1. The Bundle - The energy you bring when you are at your most fearless 2. The Rose - What life is trying to give you if you could really “let go” 3. The Cliff - The source of fear that secretly contains a gift 4. The Ally - A source of joy that will comfort you in times of trouble Share a photo of your reading and your interpretation.

Hi Brian- and anyone else who would care to comment- I’d like to ask some advice/ questions. 1.) What is a good way to learn the meaning of the cards and to REMEMBER their meanings? I’m thinking about getting a different deck because, although the one I have is very pretty, I’m having a hard time creating a “story” from the images on my deck. It’s there another “technique” you use? 2.) What is the significance of having the Fool card in the middle of the bundle/rose/cliff/ally drawing? 3.) Does that drawing have a name? I really liked it. 4.) Will you post other layouts? I was happy to learn this one! Thanks, Z.
Cards and Coffee Hour #1
I wish I had thought to record, or to at least take a screenshot, but this is the experimental phase! Just had a lovely inaugural Cards and Coffee Hour with @Jens Boje and @Joanie Jackson . We shared our background with Tarot, and got into what it means to read for others vs ourselves, the spookiness of randomness and probability, The Quadrivium, stories of significant readings, and lots of other lovely threads of conversation about all kinds of Tarot magic. I deliberately did not hype up this first one with any posts, because I wanted to see how good of a job the Skool platform does in promoting them when all I did was put it on the calendar. So thankful to Jens and Joanie for joining, and looking forward to meeting more of you at the future calls!

I would have attended (or at least listened in). If I had remembered to put it on my calendar with a reminder- my responsibility!

Welcome 🌞 Introduce yourself!
You are invited to take a moment to introduce yourself so we can all get to know each other better. Please make a new post in the "Introductions" category. Here are some ideas: - Whereabouts are you from? - How did you first get into Tarot? - Draw a card to represent what it means that you've committed to deepening your Tarot journey. Take a photo, either of just the card or of yourself holding it up :)

@Brian Duffy because you asked… my Mother’s close friend was French and she was like a second mother to me at times. I visited France for a month in 1972 as an “au pair” when I was only 13. Later I quit college to backpack in England, Spain and France. I ended up living close to where I now live from 1978-1985. I lived in Denver where I worked for about 16 years in the first Dual Language Public Montessori school (Spanish/English). A job opportunity opened up in southern France, so I thought why not? My daughter was very encouraging so I sold my house and off I went!

@Sanna Tuohimetsä one of my very best friends is from Helsinki. I’ve only been able to go there once, but I was quite impressed with a very friendly subway rider and the educational system! I hope to return there before my friend’s babies get too big!!☺️
Welcome to The Arcana Conservatory
Thank you for taking the time to get set up on skool. I know it can be a pain to juggle all these different platforms, but I chose skool specifically because they make everything very clean, simple, and easy. This is the "soft launch" phase of this community. If you are reading this, you are someone I know personally, or someone who signed up for my email newsletter at some point. You will all have free lifetime access to the standard tier of membership. New members who join after you will be paying a small fee for the standard tier. There will also be premium tiers added in the future. For now, the group will remain private while I get things ready for a public launch. The goal is to jump in and try things out. I have a lot of ideas for different classes and resources to share through this community, but I wanted to start with simply hosting some casual coffee hours and the first Card Challenges. Much more to come!
