🃏 Cards and Coffee Hours resume next week! ☕️
Hi everyone, I'll be returning from my travels this week, so I'm going to hype up next week's coffee hours in advance. These are casual hangouts using skool's built in video chat feature. We don't have a set agenda, we just have the delightful kinds of natural conversation that Tarot enthusiasts are prone to having :) The first two were tremendously enjoyable, so I'm looking forward to seeing you at future sessions! The current schedule is Tuesdays at 9am PST and Thursdays at 1pm PST. If both of these times have no chance of working for you, now or in the future, please let me know, and I'll see about making adjustments. Cheers! ☕️

The Card Prism Spread - the Magician
I took one of the most spiritual decks that I own - the Cat Aura Tarot - and I went into the pictures far from traditional meanings. Please read the following from the perspective of a psychologist and systemic family therapist, who wants to use tarot Pull The Magician out of your deck and put it at the center. Draw four cards to place around The Magician as follows: 1 As Above - A sign from your highest spiritual purpose - 7 of Cups To see through illusions of energy and emotions to the beginning, the source and the system that connects them and see their flow and recognize their patterns and structure. I have learned to do that with emotions, seems that I shall also learn this for energy 2. The Garden - The conditions that are best for your creative mastery - 2 of Cups when I unite my light and shadow parts and take a distance in a safe place to the turbulences of emotions and energy, I will know them and feel them but won't be overwhelmed in the process and keep my peace. The shadow looks down to the depths of turmoil into the past while the light looks to the sky and the distance into the future and together and in balance I can view and feel the present 3. The Table - Your unique approach that unites all of the different energies of your life - 4 of Swords Stay with me, be with me, not let myself be questioned or distracted, then I can touch the swords and use the analytical power of my intellect, while I am open to the sky (spirituality) and connected to my intuition looking inward. 4. So Below - The work in the world that most aligns with your highest spiritual purpose - Knight of Swords To find and guide my way and the way of others through the labyrinth of life and desires, while I am connected to the moon (my emotions and the emotions of others) and connected and guided by the stardust (my spirituality), then I can use my analytical power to see the way and maybe cut some branches along the way that are blocking the view. @Jens Boje this is wonderful. I really love the confidence and expansiveness that’s coming through your interpretations. @Claire C is your deck’s Messenger of Air the equivalent of Knight of Swords? If so, quite fortuitous that it came up in the same position for both you and Jens!
The Magician
Apologies … I wrote a lot 1. As Above – A sign from my highest spiritual purpose: The Chariot The Chariot, as a strong and grounded signal, seems deeply rooted in the physical world. Keeping a link with magic, I see black and white magic through the opposing horses, though I interpret this less as a moral polarity and more as an invitation: to expand one’s light, one must first acknowledge and integrate the shadow. The Chariot is also known as a card of tension or stalling, precisely because it is pulled by opposing forces. This suggests that to fully access and express my “magical” and creative abilities, I need to reconcile these inner forces — to bring coherence where there may currently be division. I also had a look at the card at the bottom of the deck, Love, and I feel that it reinforces this theme of reunification. It speaks to finding common ground, honouring each aspect’s strengths, and taking responsibility for what one brings into relationship — with oneself and with others. This raises a question for me: Is this the right time to collaborate or to team up with a professional partner? 2. The Garden – The conditions that are best for my creative mastery: Queen of Air The Queen of Air points clearly to the importance of engaging my intellect without denying intuition. This balance feels central to my work. Most of my clients come to me, as a healer and coach, due to mental health challenges and emotional wounds linked to past trauma — pain, grief, guilt, and their long-lasting consequences. The owl, a symbol of wisdom, feels particularly significant here. I see the Queen of Air as someone who can hold space with clarity and compassion: listening deeply, welcoming difficult emotions, and offering words of insight when appropriate. She embodies discernment, she has this mental sharpness in service of healing. 3. The Table – My unique approach that unites the energies of my life: Four of Fire The Four of Fire brings a sense of warmth, cosiness, and gentle visibility. The lanterns illuminate without dazzling; the fire offers presence. This resonates strongly with how I approach my work -quiet, steady, and grounded. I am not pushy —even if I am effective— and I have no interest in chasing rewards or recognition. What matters more to me is creating a safe, welcoming space where transformation can occur naturally in a sustainable way.

@Claire C this is excellent! I’m very happy to see how much introspection an understanding is being dug up by each card. Messenger of Air seems to be a keystone card for you and your journey.
Card Challenge: The High Priestess
Card Challenges are exercises designed to immerse you in the energies of each card. You can do any/all parts of the challenge. Please create a new post in the Card Challenges category to share your results. This week's card is The High Priestess The Writing Challenge 5 paragraphs on one of the following topics: 1. My relationship with my intuition 2. A strange dream I had a long time ago that still sticks in my memory 3. What do I struggle the most to allow myself to receive? 4. The most inspiring woman I know Bonus Writing Challenge: Do this with pen and paper. Don’t type it. Fill three pages (one sided) with whatever comes to mind. No self-editing, no performance, just a stream of consciousness. Plan to destroy the pages afterward so you can have total freedom. The Quest Start keeping a notebook and pen next to your nightstand. At night, when you’re falling asleep, notice for the moment your mind begins to relax, and ideas bubble naturally to the surface. Practice gently rolling over and writing down these ideas. If you need to see, arrange some gentle lighting that you can easily turn on/off. Tell us about how it goes. The Card Prism Spread Pull The High Priestess out of your deck and put it at the center. Draw four cards to place around The High Priestess as follows: 1. Boaz - A powerful and passionate source of strength 2. Jachim - A deep and stabilizing source of wisdom 3. The Scroll - A key to lead you towards the voice of your intuition 4. The Moon - An element beyond words/logic that invites your attention Share a photo of your reading and your interpretation.

Music Video Friday - The Magician
Happy Friday! This week feels like it’s flown by. I’ve been traveling and visiting family, but I’m eagerly looking forward to returning because I have a ton of cool stuff that I’ve got planned for new videos and all sorts of things for the Conservatory. My music video for The Magician is Madeon’s Gonna Be Good. I got to see him perform this live at Coachella (had never heard of him before) and it blew me away. Both the stage production and the music video evoke the sense of a solitary creative being envisioning a new world of their own design, and everything that comes with turning that vision into reality. Any music videos that resonate with your understanding of The Magician? Post them in the comments!
