Daily Routines of Famous Writers 🌟(Haruki Murakami)🌟
In a 2004 interview, Haruki Murakami discussed his physical and mental habits… "When I’m in writing mode for a novel, I get up at four a.m. and work for five to six hours. In the afternoon, I run for ten kilometers or swim for fifteen hundred meters (or do both), then I read a bit and listen to some music. I go to bed at nine p.m. I keep to this routine every day without variation. The repetition itself becomes the important thing; it’s a form of mesmerism. I mesmerize myself to reach a deeper state of mind. But to hold to such repetition for so long — six months to a year — requires a good amount of mental and physical strength. In that sense, writing a long novel is like survival training. Physical strength is as necessary as artistic sensitivity." 🖋✒️🖋✒️🖋✒️🖋✒️🖋✒️🖋✒️🖋✒️🖋✒️🖋✒️🖋✒️🖋✒️🖋✒️🖋✒️🖋✒️🖋✒️🖋✒️🖋✒️ What is your writing routine? Do you write daily? How long are your writing sessions? HEY WRITER
📚 Hey fellow authors!I’m curious what stage are you currently in with your writing or publishing journey? Are you deep in a new project, promoting a recent release, or brainstorming your next idea? I’d love to hear what you’re working on and what kind of support or collaboration would help you most right now. Let’s connect and share insights maybe we can even help each other level up our projects. ✍️✨

Writing daily (sites have daily articles), producing long form each Monday (about 5 full length content pieces) and then every 3rd week, doing a full magazine (180pgs), and then each quarter another 40pager, and... lets see, editing on other articles daily. Then SkoolMagazine stuff here with our volunteers. Also doing some social media content daily (super short pieces). Just finished a kids story that took way too long - but I was doing a deep dive into using ai for illustrations.
📖 November Novel Writing Month — Let’s Do This Together!
Hey writers! 👋 So, NaNoWriMo as an organization may not be what it used to be — but the tradition lives on. 📝 November has always been the month for writers, and we’re keeping that spirit alive right here in our community. November Novel Writing Month. ✍️ The goal is the same: 50,000 words in 30 days. That’s about 1,667 words a day. — but really, it’s about showing up, building consistency, and watching your story come to life one page at a time. Here’s how we’ll take it on together: 📅 Start prepping now: brainstorm, outline, or revisit that project you’ve been putting off. 🧠 Set your daily routine: pick a time of day to write, even if it’s just 30 minutes. 🔥 Stay accountable: check in here each week — share your progress, challenges, and small wins. 🎉 Celebrate everything: even 100 words on a tough day is progress. This month is about momentum, not perfection. By the end of November, you’ll have a draft that exists — and that’s something most people only dream about. So who’s in for November Novel Writing Month? 🙋‍♀️ What story are you bringing to life this fall?
