Hi there, I'm Zach!
Hello fellow music teachers! I'm excited to meet and work with you in The Music Teachers Collective. Honestly, I've never been a fan of these types of posts even though I'm asking you to do them same, lol! I am the owner and lead instructor of Seckman Music School in Wichita, Kansas where we teach private lessons and classes for Piano, Guitar, Ukulele, Drums, and my self-written program, Little Jammers. My music school has been going full-time since 2019. In addition to the music school, I also create resources for music teachers that are available in the paid part of this community, and I will once in a while post freebies for all members. And as previously mentioned, I am the creator of the Little Jammers preschool music program that introduces younger kiddos to Piano, Guitar, and Drums. A couple more things about me: 👉 I graduated from Kansas State University in 2017 with a Bachelors in Music Education, as a first-gen collage graduate 👉 I'm a Nintendo nerd and LOVE playing on my Super Nintendo, and Switch. 👉 I also enjoy simulation games such as The Sims, and Cities:Skylines 👉 I enjoy cooking, and love to try out new recipes and experimenting in the kitchen. 👉 My 2026 bucket list includes camping for the very first time. See you soon in the group! -Zach

Hi there, I'm Zach!
TMTC Community Rules
In order to maintain a thoughtful, engaged community, these rules are set in place to keep group morale positive! Keep in mind, these rules can be modified and changed as needed so our group can sustain that positive morale. (We will let you know when community rules are updated). 1) Post, comments, and discussions are to be about our businesses as music teachers only. We exist to help your music teaching business grow, survive, and thrive! Have fun and make connections with each other while we build each other up for success! 2) When engaging within the group, keep discussions light and positive! Don't be rude, nasty, condescending, etc. If someone is doing something for their entity that you disagree with, it's okay to delete that paragraph you were about to post. 3) This is not a community to air grievances about other people, teachers, products, etc. We will not accept that sort of Facebook filth here, and you know exactly what I'm talking about. 4) No Self-Promotions for products or services of your music school. We will have opportunities for you to share resources if you are a content creator! If you have a teaching resource that you are okay sharing with the premium members to add to our libraries, let Zach know so he can add it! 5) Stay engaged. Remember, with our SKOOL, the more you engage, the more points you accumulate. The more you post, comment, join live calls, etc, you can put yourself in the running for our monthly contest!

Welcome to The Music Teachers Collective!
Greetings everyone! I am excited to have you join our community. If you're new here, make sure you read through this post so you get the most out of your time with us here at The Music Teachers Collective, or TMTC! 1) We want to get to know you! After reading this post, head on over to the "Intro Post" thread and make a post introducing yourself! You can make this just a text post, or add a picture, or video if you'd like! 2) While we're a fun, high-energy group, we also have community rules to follow and abide by so we keep a Happy, healthy community. Be sure to check those rules out in the "Community Rules" thread. 3) All members, regardless of standard or premium tier are welcome to post in our threads, and engage with other posts as well! BUT, the cool thing about Skool is the rankings! So the more you post and engage with each other in the group, your ranking goes up! Why is this important? Because as the group grows, we will run contests and give gifts to our top contributor each month! (We'll let you know when we start the contests). 4) If you're on the premium tier, you can join our live calls that will take place two to three times per month. These live calls will include office hours, brainstorming sessions, workshops, and mastermind sessions. As the group grows, we will find a consistent schedule to accommodate most members' schedules. (We will also try to post recordings from most live events for folks who cannot join.) 4a) Members in the premium tier also have access to our resource libraries! These are many different tools, teaching aids, sheet music, games, and books by Zach Seckman that you are free to download and use with your students/schools/studios. 5) If you're joining us on the free standard tier, we will open up spots for some live calls that you can purchase to join our calls! These events will be announced here in the Events thread. So what about the tabs and discussions threads? Let's get into those. TABS: - Community: Where all of our threads and discussions take place. We will dive into those below. - Classroom: Courses and resources are held here, some fare or standard members, some are for premium members, and some are available for standard members to purchase. - Calendar: View all of our upcoming live calls here! - Members: See who all is in the group! - Map: See where every is globally, if you'd like to meet-up in person. - Leaderboard: Want to participate in those monthly contests? Rank up and see who is first place in the leaderboard.
