Hey guys thanks for allowing me to join this group! I’m a hip hop artist who’s in love with audio and want to learn to mix my own music. I record all my songs but I’m so interested in learning better techniques to eventually mix my own projects. Any tips are welcome, thanks!

Hi everyone, my name is Jeremy Koch. I am a musician, songwriter, producer, and I run Porch Time Records, a label based in Lilongwe, Malawi, dedicated to putting the immense talent of Malawi musicians on the global map. We record songs daily and so our number one challenges is clearing out the bottle neck of the final mix and master process.

Herro there! Name's Beryl Chan but I go by the artist moniker, "Grizzly Seazon". I call Toronto, Canada my hometown and country of origin. Still exploring different genres within Ableton. My last creation was a melodic rock song. My main challenge with mixing is a lack of practice and I have a tendency to overthink the changes I want to make. I'm also struggling with mastering a vocal that has empty spaces in the beat as it hard to bring the whole song to around the same noise level with out feeling like I'm over compressing.

Anybody have any times on making a vocal crispy and not feel so dynamic when mixing as my vocals often feel to lack that quality that you may see in say a d4vd or polo g vocal.
