🌱 Plant-Based, Unfiltered: A Q&A with Chef Jen — LIVE inside The DIRECTORY on Skool! Sooooooo I am taking over The DIRECTORY tomorrow and spilling the tea on WHY and HOW I went plant-based. Real, raw, and SUPER FUN as well!!!
Curious about plant-based eating but have questions? Bring ’em. ALL of ’em. 😆 Join ME for a casual, no-pressure conversation about what eating plant-based actually looks like in real life. TOMORROW I am taking over @Heather Boers community —> The DIRECTORY on Skool for a fun ☆LIVE☆ Q&A. WHY and HOW I became plant-based! I will share my own journey from longtime meat-and-dairy eater to going plant-based practically overnight, what I have learned along the way, how my health changed, what I eat now, and why I believe eating more plants doesn’t have to mean living off sad salads, complicated recipes, or giving up food you freaking LOVE. We’ll talk food, health, protein, grocery shopping, cooking, transitioning to plant-based, feeding non-vegan family members, common misconceptions, and whatever else YOU want to ask. No perfection. No food shaming. No plant-based police. 🚨🥦 Just real food, real experiences, lots of laughs, and an open Q&A. Come curious. Leave hungry. 🌱 🎓 The DIRECTORY on Skool (FREE to join 🎉) 📅 Thursday, August 20th (TOMORROW 🍀) ⏰️ 3:00 PM Pacific | 4:00 PM Mountain | 5:00 PM Central | 6:00 PM Eastern | 11:00 PM UK | 12:00 AM Central Europe | 8:00 AM Sydney (next day) | 10:00 AM New Zealand (next day)

Spirited Food: Community Kitchen Takeover
So I had this idea to use cooking events as community builders. And my friend Ro and I came up with the idea of going live in two communities at once, and the two community owners would cook a meal together. All the members in attendance could choose to cook along or just watch. And we did our first one, and it was a lot of fun, and it created a lot of engagement across the communities. So now, I'm announcing the second one, and you guys are invited to attend. I've included a Zoom link so you don't have to join communities unless you want to, but this time it's Spirited Food and the Grow Renaissance. 🍳🔥 COMMUNITY KITCHEN TAKEOVER with Chef Andrew & Neil Smith 🔥🥩 We’re taking over the kitchen. Join Chef Andrew and Neil Smith for a fun, unscripted session where great food, farming, ingredients, and a few questionable kitchen decisions all come together. Expect cooking, stories from the farm, proper food talk, a bit of banter, and plenty of conversation around where our food comes from and why it matters. No polished TV chef nonsense. Just real ingredients, real cooking, and two blokes having a good time in the kitchen. 🥩 Farm to fork 🔥 Cooking tips and tricks 🌱 Food, farming and regenerative agriculture 😂 Stories, banter and whatever happens once the pans get hot Come hungry. Bring questions. 👨‍🍳 Kitchen Takeover with Chef Andrew & Neil Smith Aug 27th @ 10amEST 🔗 Join us on Zoom: https://us06web.zoom.us/j/88072688697?pwd=5HW9rba2HxrRmIa0bYUZL7habzeMa7.1 recipe and ingredients to follow See you in the kitchen. 🔥

Very exciting!!!!
She almost deleted her community in June
Jenny Rader-Bakos told her husband it was a waste of time. All the effort going in, nothing coming back unless she was the one posting. He told her it was her passion. She stayed. Engagement in Rooted & Wild now runs somewhere between 85 and 90 per cent. The full conversation is up now: How Jenny Turned a Quiet Community Around. A few things she said that are worth your time: The comments are where the magic happens, not the posts. She's active in about ten other communities and sits near the top of most leaderboards. People read a good comment, click the profile, find the community. She never uses stock images. She photographs the process, not just the finished plate, because people who only see the finished thing decide they couldn't do it themselves. She runs a five-day posting plan so she never sits there wondering what to post. Monday through Friday, each day has a job; weekends off. Her first workshop was a Monday idea that ran on the Thursday, and two people turned up. She recorded it and shared the replay anyway. That's the moment things changed. Worth 30 minutes if you're in the quiet stage she was in back in June. If you want more of these, subscribe to the channel while you're there. Jenny's own community is Rooted & Wild if you want to see how she runs it. Check out our brand-new YouTube channel and hit subscribe while you're there. SUBSCRIBE HERE

@Rona De Witt it was a good podcast. Wr had a great time!
Two people turned up to her first workshop
Jenny's first workshop was a Monday idea that ran on Thursday. She was sitting there eating her own quick pickled onions, thought, "that's a workshop", and threw it together in three days. Two people came. She says she was discouraged, which is fair enough. But she recorded it anyway. Posted it. Shared the replay. That's when the chatter started. Not during the live session. After it. Most people run this the other way round. Weeks of planning, then they judge the whole thing on the number of people in the room, then they quietly bin the recording because only two showed up. The attendance figure isn't the result. The recording is the asset. It carries on working long after everyone has logged off, and it reaches the people who wanted to come but couldn't. Jenny runs Rooted & Wild, a whole-food, plant-based community, if you want to see what she's built since. Full conversation with Jenny goes out later today. Keep an eye on the feed.
