TUE 18 AUG - Market Your Book on YouTube
Tuesday 18th August, 7pm to 8pm London time / 2pm EST / 11am PST. Held live inside Self Publishing for Leaders, Lynn Smargis's community for professionals writing and publishing their own book. Most authors market a book everywhere except the one platform where people are actively searching for the problem the book solves. In this workshop, I'll join Lynn to break down exactly how authors can use YouTube to build a reader audience and promote their book. If you've got a book launching in the next few months, the timing matters more than the tactics. A reader audience built after launch week arrives too late to do anything for the launch itself. Built in the months before, it means you're publishing to people who already know your name, already trust your thinking, and are waiting for the thing to exist. I'll cover what to make, what to say in the videos, and how to point viewers somewhere useful without turning every video into an advert. 👉 CHECK IT OUT HERE Worth an hour if you're an author, a ghostwriter, or you're helping clients get books out into the world. Referral Week 👀
A few of you have asked how to refer people to Skool Events Daily. Where the link lives. Whether you get anything for it. Whether it's even worth doing. Fair questions. So here's the answer, and a reason to actually do it this week. Whoever refers the most new members by midnight Friday, 21st August, wins a free 30-minute call with me. Winners announced Saturday. On that call, I'll go through your Skool community and your events, and give you an honest list of what I'd change. Not a pitch. Just your setup, my screen, and the things that are quietly costing you turnout. If two or more people tie, everyone who ties gets a call. No tie-breakers, no splitting hairs over who got there first. Entering is simple. Share your affiliate link. Every person who joins through it between now and Friday counts. Posting it in your own community works. But if you want the thing that actually converts, send a DM. A short personal message to someone you already know runs events, or wants to. One line about why you thought of them, then the link. That beats a broadcast post every time. If you're not sure where your link is or how to word that message, we've just added a Share, Refer & Earn classroom that walks through the whole thing. Worth five minutes before you start. One thing it covers that's worth repeating here: use your raw affiliate link, not a shortened version. Shorteners strip the attribution on Skool, so your referrals won't get tracked and you won't get credit for them. And you're earning 30% recurring on anyone who goes premium anyway, so the call sits on top of that. You've got a week. Grab your link and get sharing. Des
