Ever had someone ask, "Why are you more expensive?" and wished you'd had a better answer? Here's a simple thing to try with ChatGPT this weekend. Ask it to play a potential customer who's interested in your business but isn't convinced yet. Then practise the conversation one message at a time. You don't need a long setup. Use a fictional customer and leave out any private customer details. Try this prompt: "Let's practise a sales enquiry. I sell [product or service] to [type of customer]. It costs [price] and includes [what they get]. Play a fictional potential customer who's interested but hesitant. Ask one question at a time and wait for my answer. Challenge vague answers politely, and don't invent facts about my business. After five replies from me, step out of character. Point out where I was clear, where I dodged the question, and one answer I could explain more simply. Start with a question about price." Reply as you normally would. If you get stuck, have another go at that answer rather than asking ChatGPT to do all the talking. Keep in mind that this is made-up practice, not evidence of what your actual customers think or what they'll buy. Which question would you most like to feel comfortable answering: price, results, or "Why should I choose you?"

Hi guys! OpenAI added ChatGPT Slides on 16 October, and this looks worth a look if you regularly put together proposals, training sessions or webinars. You can start with notes, files or an existing outline, then edit the text, images and charts in the presentation itself. You can also work on the same deck with teammates in Space. On the web, exports include PowerPoint, PDF and Google Slides. The important catch: it’s rolling out to eligible Pro, Business and Enterprise users with Space access. Don’t assume it’s available on every account yet. Rather than asking for a generic “sales presentation”, give it something real to work with. A simple first test would be a proposal you’re already preparing. Try this in ChatGPT Work: “Create a six-slide presentation in Space from these notes for [audience]. Cover their problem, the proposed approach, what’s included, the timeline, the price and the next step. Use only the information I’ve supplied. Flag missing details rather than filling them in. Keep each slide focused on one point.” Then check the claims, numbers and anything that sounds like a promise before sharing it. Only use material you’re allowed to upload. A polished deck can still contain a weak argument. Does each slide help the person understand the offer or make a decision? If not, cut it. Cheers Jason

One good idea can become an entire content series when you know how to use ChatGPT strategically. Instead of constantly asking yourself, “What am I going to post today?” take one strong topic from your niche and ask ChatGPT to help you develop it from different angles. One topic can become: • A short educational TikTok • A longer explanation or tutorial • A myth-vs-fact post • A beginner’s guide • A list of common mistakes • An FAQ • A personal-story angle • A discussion or controversial question • Instagram and Facebook posts • Follow-up videos based on comments and questions You can also ask ChatGPT to develop hooks, talking points, captions and calls to action while keeping everything consistent with your voice and audience. This isn’t about having AI replace your creativity. You’re still bringing the knowledge, experience, personality and perspective. AI simply helps you expand and organize it. Before searching for another idea, look at the one you already have and ask: “How many different ways can I teach, explain, demonstrate or discuss this?” You may already be sitting on a week’s worth of content.

I’m looking for practical experience from anyone who's already traveled this road. I built a suite of 21 custom GPTs focused on authors, publishing, and book marketing—tools for opportunity research, reader pain points, competitive gaps, book positioning, and related publishing workflows. Each was designed as a focused tool, not a general chatbot. My original plan was simple: distribute individual GPTs by direct link, with customers using them inside their own ChatGPT accounts. Then the ground shifted. OpenAI has ended new GPT creation and publishing on personal accounts. Existing GPTs still work, and ChatGPT Business may preserve some link-sharing options, but that feels more like a bridge than the long-term destination. So I’m now exploring the next question: What is the best way to turn an existing custom GPT into a standalone App or web-based tool? Ideally, I’m looking for a path that: - preserves the GPT’s instructions and workflow rather than rebuilding the concept from scratch; - gives authors and publishers a simple interface without requiring them to understand prompts; - allows me to control access and eventually sell individual tools; - does not require maintaining an elaborate SaaS operation. I’m not wedded to any particular platform. I’m interested in what people have actually built and deployed—whether with the OpenAI API, ChatGPT Apps, WordPress, no-code/low-code platforms, or another approach entirely.
