My knee jerk reaction was concerns about the shaft length as your angle of twist will be much greater, so material selection/ shaft design would become a bit more challenging. As for the drive and belt tensioning thereof I don't know enough to give a useful input. But Mr Skaggs dropped a document that may have those answers.

Unfortunate to say but I have yet to "achieve" something, university is taking up all my time, the work load is more than expected. I could consider keeping up to be a win in and of itself though :)

Interesting take, I tend to avoid goals all together at times. Too many goals leads me to getting nothing done.
