πΎ Day 12 β Setting as Emotion
Day 12 of 14 Writing Challenge βοΈ Your setting can whisper the emotional truth of your story. Why this matters: Places can carry energy, which can mirror grief, hope, or transformation. When used intentionally, setting becomes a silent character. Think of those sad scenes in a movie and many times the weather turns dark and sometimes rain pours down to add to the sadness in the scene. The same is for a scene in a book. π Example: The house still smelled like him to me. Coffee, cedar, and endings. Prompt: Describe a place that mirrors loneliness or healing without using those words. Describe the place with emotions. Reflect: What emotions live inside your setting? Now, you can share your answer to the prompt and if you'd like, the reflection as well.
