Well said — this is something I struggled with too. When I started going back to the gym at 350 pounds, all I could think about was how I couldn’t lift the same weight I did at 200 pounds, or how I used to run a 5K in just under 22 minutes and now could barely finish in an hour. It wasn’t until I stopped comparing my current self to my old self that I finally started making real progress. Once I shifted my focus to who I am today — and who I’m capable of becoming — everything changed. I saw a huge difference in my personal, physical, and professional growth when I learned to focus on the present and take ownership of what I could control. Keep crushing it — progress is built one day at a time.
