What do you feel when reading?🤔
The same way you want your reader to imagine, you also want your reader to FEEL. Not physically but from the inside. Remember the last time you watched a film Whenever the main character, who you really want to win, gets in danger, you start worrying and get really invested in how the situation will turn out. That’s an emotion - worry. But we don’t want to do that with your copy. If we do that, then your product/service will be associated with worry and that’s not good. We want other emotions. Kyle Milligan, in his book “Take Their Money”, talks about 4 emotions (New, Easy, Safe and Big), And why you should include them in your copy. If your copy conveys that your product is: NEWER version of some kind of item Makes the buyer’s life EASIER Maybe it is helping you to feel more secure because many others have felt the same way Or it might be a big life-changing opportunity to stop working forever The reader will associate your product with positive emotions. The point is this: You want your reader to FEEL some kind of good emotion. Not anger, frustration, or any other bad emotion. Most writers? They write copy that is hard to imagine and doesn’t make you feel ANYTHING. Now, you know more than when you started reading this post. All you need right now is to take action and try it yourself:) Hope this helped, Laurynas P.S. This was a game-changing trick in my copywriting journey, I highly encourage you to take this one seriously.
