Changes in Printing
Have you heard the news about the upcoming changes to the cost of printing? Draf2Digital will now be charging an upfront fee, and Barnes & Noble have added new fees to their publishing options, too. This is all coming after a bunch of authors have jumped ship from IngramSpark. Even though they gained more authors after they got rid of their printing fee last year. Granted, they added new fees on the backend... Let me know your thoughts on printing costs, what platforms you have used, and what platform has the best quality.

Thanks for sharing this update there’s clearly a shift happening in how print-on-demand platforms structure their fees. Overall, it seems like many providers are moving from upfront incentives to more balanced or backend pricing models. From experience, Amazon KDP remains the most accessible and cost-efficient, while IngramSpark is often preferred for wider distribution and higher print quality. Barnes & Noble Press is solid for U.S. reach, though the new fees may affect its appeal.
