Product: an employee who knows more of what they want out of life and how your company is going to help them achieve it Your Role: 1. To serve as a steward between the employee and the company, making sure both people are clear and win. 2. The visionary that helps builds a powerful future. 3. A coach to help the team member discover what they want out of life. 👉Steps 1. Scheduled time with the key employee off-site. This can be at lunch, a dinner, or a local park. It is vital to change the environment to allow for creativity, connection, and ultimately the coaching that is required. 2. Express gratitude for the employee, both in terms of statistics and in terms of cultural contribution. 3. Communicate that they are being brought into the inner circle of your vision planning for the company because you see a company that has a future with them in it. 4. Ask them what they want out of their future, and get ready for the fact that most people have no idea. 5. Coach them into identifying what it is they want out of life. This can be done through the "Be, Do, Have" framework (see document). 6. Continue to develop their future with them until you find a connection between Where the company is going and where they now clearly see where they want to go 7. Document the meeting and review on a bi-annual basis
