5 Simple Questions
Over the years, I have had the opportunity to coach and mentor many successful individuals, including millionaires, small businesses (this is my sweet spot), and billion-dollar companies. I started every coaching session by skipping the small chat and getting to work. Time is money! Each session involved a deep dive into these 5 simple but powerful questions. They are part of my everyday routine, helping me to stay focused, gain clarity, and get my engine started. 1. What's working today? 2. What's not working today? 3. What's my biggest challenge today? 4. What am I missing that COULD change the game? 5. What are my top 3 next steps that WILL change the game? I would suggest that you look at your business, your relationships, and even your health and overall wellness and answer the question: Write them down. You will discover two things. You will gain succinct clarity on where you are today and, more importantly, have a simple tool that will reveal the path forward for your life and business. Enjoy—this is fun!

A Growth Mindset Is More Than Theory
I wanted to share this piece I put together for a coaching client as encouragement for all as it embraces our entrepreneurial journey from my perspective. Maybe you can find something in it to ignite your passion. A growth mindset is not just a theoretical concept but a practical tool that can significantly enhance an entrepreneur's success. It's not about wishful thinking but about adopting a mindset that can be applied in real-life business situations. Here are some tangible ways in which a growth mindset can benefit entrepreneurs: 1. Embracing Challenges: Entrepreneurs with a growth mindset don't just see challenges. They see opportunities for growth and learning. Instead of being discouraged by obstacles, they view them as stepping stones to success. This mindset allows entrepreneurs to approach challenges with resilience and determination, finding creative solutions and pushing through setbacks. 2. Learning and Adaptability: A growth mindset fosters a love for learning and believes skills and abilities can be developed through effort and practice. Entrepreneurs with a growth mindset are constantly seeking new knowledge, acquiring new skills, and staying updated on industry trends. This adaptability enables them to pivot their strategies, embrace change, and stay ahead in a rapidly evolving business landscape. 3. Embracing Failure: Failure is not a dead end but a detour on the entrepreneurial journey, and a growth mindset can help entrepreneurs navigate this detour. They understand that failure is not a verdict on their abilities but an opportunity to learn, grow, and improve. Entrepreneurs with a growth mindset use failures as stepping stones to future success, bouncing back with renewed determination and using the lessons learned to fuel their journey. This is where a growth mindset truly shines, turning what could be a setback into a valuable learning experience. 4. Embracing Feedback: Entrepreneurs with a growth mindset don't just seek feedback. They actively use it to improve their decision-making. They are open to constructive criticism, value different perspectives, and use feedback to refine their strategies and approaches. This willingness to learn from others and adapt based on feedback enhances their decision-making, a crucial aspect of their business performance. A growth mindset is about personal growth and making better business decisions. 5. Innovation and Creativity: A growth mindset encourages entrepreneurs to think outside the box, challenge the status quo, and seek innovative solutions. They are unafraid to take risks and explore new ideas, constantly pushing the boundaries of what is possible. This mindset fosters a culture of innovation within their businesses, enabling them to stay ahead of the competition and meet evolving customer needs.

Want To Learn How To Sell High Ticket SAAS?
Back when I was still 'stuck' trying to figure out how to make money online I would listen and watch everything I could find that I thought would get me closer to my goal of quitting my job. I knew I had to sell something expensive, but I had no idea how to sell. Every sales job I ever had I failed at. I remember selling windows. I didn’t sell one single window in two months. I finally quit and the sales manager seemed happy. 😀 I figured I just didn’t have the right personality to do well in sales. I eventually found someone who taught sales in a way that was so intriguing to me. Hearing him talk about it made me believe I could actually do it. All he did was ask great questions, he barely even talked. I didn’t have the money to invest in his $9,800 coaching program, so I had to try and figure out as much as I could through his free stuff. I would listen to every podcast I could find with him where he talked about his sales process. Eventually I got a big enough tax-return to pay half of the $9,800 with the promise to pay the second half 30 days later. The first thing I did was log in and listen to the training on how to do the sales framework. I studied that thing and practiced it in my head over and over again until I felt somewhat comfortable on how to do it. I still remember the first sales call I did using it. I was terrified. I had 3 young (and loud) kids. I went into a back room and asked my wife to keep the kids as quiet as possible. I had the sales framework printed out and kinda worked through each section as I went through the call. I didn’t make the sale, but I left the call feeling very encouraged. I couldn’t believe that I made it through the whole script and the guy I talked to told me all about their business and what they would like to accomplish. I quoted my price of $5,800 at the end of the call and he didn’t freak out. That was around triple what I brought home in a month, so it ‘seemed’ like a huge number to ask. Even though I didn’t make that first sale I knew that if I kept at it eventually I would get good enough to land a deal.

Be Like Elon & Charge HIGH Prices 🚀
Elon shared his 10 year plan from 2016. It’s interesting to see step 1 of his plan to start Tesla. His strategy should be a lesson for us. Here is his plan: Step 1 - Create a low volume EXPENSIVE car. Step 2 - Use the money he made from step 1 to develop medium volume car at a lower price. Step 3 - Take the money from the previous steps to create an affordable, high volume car. Affordable and high volume come LAST… NOT FIRST! It seems counterintuitive to start with the expensive thing first, but that exactly what he did. The reason he gave was because that was all he could afford to do. When you are first starting out you don’t have the resources to hire staff or do much of anything, so you have to do low volume at high prices just to survive and have any chance of getting your clients results. It’s tempting to think you should charge lower prices when you are first starting out with your business, but that is the WRONG way to think. Everything will be harder for you if you charge low prices. Chances are if you start off charging low prices you’ll NEVER make it. Imagine if you only charged $297 per month for your SAAS offer. Just to get to $10k per month you will need 33.6 clients. Getting one client is challenging enough. [I’m not sure where you’ll find .6 of a person 🧍 …that’s a joke 🤷‍♂️] The chances of you getting 33 when you are new at this, is close to ZERO. Most SAAS agencies never get that many. You won’t have enough margins to spend money on ads, so you’ll have to find some other way to do it. Even if you do somehow defy the odd, you’ll spend all of your time servicing those 33 clients that you’ll have to get help, which you won’t be able to afford because you’re only making $10k per month. Your clients won’t get the attention they need, so you’ll have constant churn. (I’m getting stressed just thinking about it. 😀) If you charge high ticket prices you only need 1 or 2 clients per month and you will have enough margin to acquire customers with ads and hire help if you need it.
