@James Renouf @David St Jean and a few other members wondering what happened to me...Thanks for your concern. I've been trying to get blood in my urine problem resolved since April 21st. I had the same situation 6 years ago and the end result was to ablade a ruptured prostate vein. I went to the same hospital who did the procedure, but this time after blood and urine tests, they determined I had a bladder infection and sent me home with antibiotics. The next day clots started forming and appearing in my pee. I went to another smaller hospital branch thinking they have access to my records and being a smaller hospital, I'd have better chances of being admitted. NOPE, same diagnosis after doing their blood and urine sample. The CRAZY part, is they did a CT-scan AND bladder ultrasound (to see how much urine I was eliminating from my bladder after urinating) and BOTH showed signs of clots!! The 3rd day I woke up with the urge to pee and couldn't pee so I went to the closest military hospital (which has NO prior medical records of me) and they ended up inserting a foley catheter to relieve the pressure and manually tried syphoning out blood clots. They admitted me overnight for observation and treatment. Next day doctors felt it was "safe" for me to go home with a foley catheter and urine collection bag. What an expeience!! What I didn't know was, while in the hospital and laying in bed...my urine drained okay into the collection bag. But, at home, as soon as I get up, I get the urge to pee with pressure that my urine by-passes the catherter, down along the catheter or my pant leg onto the floor!! I suspect by agitating what's in my bladder, the clots get agitated and blocks the catheter entrance...just my common sense opinion, I'm not an educated doctor! So I went back to the military hospital emergency room. They admitted me over the weekend Apr. 26-27 with the intent of doing an exploratory surgery on the 28th. After discussion with the Urology team, they decided to send me home and scheduled a surgery May 14th. So, I'm basically laying in bed most of the day until surgery day. I found out and realized the hospitals here in Washington are over worked, don't have sufficient facilities to admit and hold you unless you're bleeding to death, or dying. Hopefully, I will have the surgery in 2 days and everything will be resolved.
