They can’t buy if they haven’t heard of you
Saw this post just now and figured I’d share it because it’s true. “If nobody knows you exist, your product doesn't matter, your price doesn't matter, and your quality doesn't matter. Obscurity is a bigger threat to your business than your competition. Most entrepreneurs obsess over what they're building and forget that the market can't buy something it's never heard of.” What are you doing on a consistent basis to become known, to be found and to get out of obscurity? Obscurity: the state of being unknown

We do a weekly and daily email with openings and class schedules. We post on social media our openings as well. I just hired someone to help with SEO, plus get us found better with AI, refresh the website, refresh the Google business page, etc. excited for the updates!

@Michael Ortiz mostly opening, classes and upcoming events. I’ve tried other wellness posts, recipes, etc and I don’t get much traction that I can tell from that.
Congratulations to Wendi

Thank you all!
Sunday Planning
They say 15 minutes of planning can save you 90 minutes an execution time. I would encourage you to sit down tonight and look at your week Plan your week What are the things that you need to get done? Where can you put them in your schedule to get them done? How many days this week are you gonna work out? Put it in your schedule Will this be the week you engage in self-care?? Put it in your schedule What will you do from your joy list this week? Put it in your schedule We lose so much time in productivity because we’re always thinking about what else we have to do. so take some time sit down. Write it down and then let’s get after it this week.

@Michael Ortiz I listened to the audio book yesterday and it had a really good concept. I can see using it at work and in my personal life. I ordered a couple of his books to try and help implement more of this. Thanks for the recommendation.

@Michael Ortiz thanks, it’s on my list.
Retention using memberships
We need to plug the holes in our bucket (Business) that keep leaking clients out. Membership and packages is a great way to keep clients coming back for longer so they can get better results and you can have more predictable business income.

@Michael Ortiz I don’t, we are going to base in on years of experience or if they have some type of special certification that we would charge more for.

@Michael Ortiz we only have one that’s more expensive, that’s lymphatic massage. Its extensive training, and It’s more medical, post op in our area, clients don’t seem to tip so we raised the price to make up for that for that therapist.
Just turned away a client.
Here’s what I wrote. And yes I used chat gpt to help me. But feel free to steal this if the situation applies. This client was extremely deep pressure. My shoulder hurt after working on her. She’s great as a person. But I do not want to work on her again. and that’s okay. Hey [Client Name], I wanted to thank you again for coming in. You were absolutely wonderful to work with. I did want to be honest with you though — the level of pressure you prefer is beyond the type of pressure work I’m personally comfortable providing on a regular basis. I always want to make sure clients receive the best possible care, and I think you’d honestly be happier with a therapist who specializes in very deep pressure-focused work. I hope you know this has nothing to do with you personally at all. I just believe it’s important to stay within what I can confidently and sustainably provide as a therapist. Thank you again for coming in and for being so kind. I genuinely wish you the best and hope you find someone who’s a perfect fit for what you’re looking for.

@Michael Ortiz I have one client I dread seeing. I see him every two weeks for 90 mins and have for years. He’s just a very negative person!

@Michael Ortiz idk, I’ve seen him for so long and he’s booked out the whole year, I just haven’t pulled the trigger. I’m raising rates in September, I’m hoping that may make him want to change therapists and see one of my other therapists.
