I built a WhatsApp AI system that replies to customers automatically — here's exactly how it works 👇 A client came to me with a simple problem:
My WhatsApp is full of messages. I can't keep up. I'm losing customers. So I built a 7-part automated system in n8n. Here's the full breakdown: Section 1 — Message Entry Webhook captures every WhatsApp message the moment it arrives. Filters out delivery receipts so the system doesn't loop. Section 2 — AI Classifier Groq AI reads the message and classifies intent — is it a complaint, inquiry, order, or support request? Section 3 — Data Layer All customer info is mapped and saved. New customers get auto-created in CRM. Section 4 — Routing Engine System decides: Can AI handle this? Or does a human need to step in? Section 5 — RAG Agent Gemini + Pinecone searches the knowledge base and generates a context-aware reply — not a template, a real answer. Section 6 — Human Escalation If AI can't handle it, the case goes to a human agent with the full chat history attached. Section 7 — Response Delivery Final reply sent back to WhatsApp automatically. Customer gets a response in seconds. Result? ✅ 24/7 customer support ✅ Zero manual replies ✅ Every conversation logged in CRM ✅ No missed leads Tools used: n8n, WhatsApp Business API, Groq, Gemini, Pinecone, Google Sheets If you're learning automation or building something similar — drop your questions below. @Lana Frei Appreciate that 🤝 And yes — I completely agree. I don’t just focus on the “front-facing” automation. I think deeply about failure handling and system reliability as well. This workflow already includes things like: retries error-safe logic API rate limiting fallback handling logging and validation layers Whenever I build a system, I try to think through every layer: “What happens if this service fails?” “What happens if the API times out?” “How does the workflow recover without breaking the customer experience?” Also, Groq and some of the current models are mainly connected for testing and optimization purposes. Later I’ll expand it further with models like OpenAI and Claude depending on the use-case. My main focus is always: ⚡ saving time 💰 saving money
🚀 Hey everyone, I need some guidance from this community.
I’ve been learning and working in AI Automation for the past year. During this time, I’ve built multiple automation projects and workflows, and I’ve also added several projects to my Upwork Project Catalog. The difficult part is getting the first client. Even after spending a lot of time building skills and projects, I still haven’t been able to land my first real client yet. Right now, my main goal is to build trust and get some testimonials/reviews on my Upwork profile. Because of that, I’m willing to do 1–2 projects for free in exchange for honest feedback and reviews if someone needs help with AI automation workflows. I’d truly appreciate any support, advice, or opportunity from this community 🙌
🚀New Video: Build & Sell with Claude Code (10+ Hour Course)
📚ALL RESOURCES CAN BE FOUND HERE📚 This is the complete Claude Code course. I put a ton of time into this one. I start from zero and walk you through everything: setup, building workflows, deploying websites, creating agent teams, browser automation, finding clients, pricing your work, and way more. To make it even better, we don’t ever write a single line of code. By the end, you'll know how to use Claude Code at a professional level and how to actually turn those skills into income. Whether you've never opened a terminal or you're looking to go deeper, this course covers it all in one place.

Hey @Nate Herk Can Agentic AI workflows not be built in n8n? Is there any limitation, or does it require integration with external agents?
WhatsApp
Anybody face problem with Whatsapp after upgrading n8n ver 2. I get this message in the node. "Due to Facebook API limitations, you can use just one WhatsApp trigger for each Facebook App" . I have scanned through all my workflows and disabled the rest of the workflow that have WhatsApp message trigger. I am still not getting a message when I run this node. Please advice.

For beginners who don't know where to start
Most AI tutorials are made by developers, for developers. They skip steps. They throw around jargon. They assume you already know things you don't. You watch video after video and somehow end up more confused than when you started. That's not a you problem. That's a teaching problem. I made something that fixes it: -> For beginners who don't know where to start PS: If you’re already an AIS+ member, we will be rolling this out to you for free shortly. No need to buy it.

That’s really good. Some people focus only on attracting clients and end up showing demos that don’t reflect real skills. Real value comes from genuine ability, not just polished showcases.
