Replay of Silent Saboteurs & Sacred Solutions: Nervous System Healing in a Noisy World
Had a great Conversations to Thrive with Herbalist and Personal Trainer Vincenzo Fanfarillo! Takeaways from this talk- We spend much of our time in the sympathetic nervous system, which is fight or flight. Things like phones, processed foods, and the stresses of modern living can overwhelm our nervous systems. Things that help include grounding-walking on the Earth with bare feet, connecting with our breath, taking time for movement, having a good sleep routine, and good hydration. Water with lemon, high quality salt, and maybe a bit of honey or maple syrup is a wonderful, natural substitute for drinks like Gatorade. Herbs that can support our mental health and nervous system include tulsi, chamomile, lavender, lemon balm, ashwagandha, and passion flower. Having an herbal tea around bedtime and putting the phone away at least an hour before bedtime can support good sleep. Finding stillness every day and connecting with gratitude are other practices that support vibrant nervous system health. Learn more about Vincenzo at sacredmountainfitness.com
