What's your least favorite part of Jiu-Jitsu?
We all love training... but let's be honest. What's the one part of Jiu-Jitsu you could do without? The warm-up? The drive to class? The training partner who says "let's keep it light" and then immediately forgets? 😆 The injuries? The laundry? The nerves before competition? What's the one thing you dislike most about the process? 👇

definitely traditional warmups. However, our gym (and many gyms now) are using bjj as warmups. I don't need to pay a membership to show up to do pushups and jumping jacks.
Monday Check-In
A lot of master athletes start Monday thinking about what they need to do. I've found that sometimes the bigger question is: What did last week teach you? Maybe you learned you need more recovery. Maybe you learned you're stronger than you thought. Maybe you learned you're doing too much. Maybe you learned you're not doing enough. What's one piece of information you're taking from last week into this week?

airlines can do whatever they want with almost no recourse. Previous week I was stranded in LA thanks to Westjet strike. Friday night, my connection flight to Vancouver was delayed 90 minutes and I had to sprint from one terminal to another to barely make my flight. Air Canada didn't seem to care at all.

What's Something You Know You Should Do More Of?
Not the perfect answer. The honest answer. For me, it's probably mobility work. I always feel better when I do it. I rarely feel like doing it. What's yours?

Green Doesn't Always Mean Go Harder
Woke up with a green recovery score this morning. A few years ago, I would've seen that and immediately thought, "Let's push." Now I look at it differently. Sometimes green means push. Sometimes it means build. Sometimes it means get good work in without turning a good day into a recovery problem. What's a time when your body told you something different than what your recovery score said? 👇

@Brian Rafat this was me on Tuesday morning. I did 3 practises on Monday and pushed pretty hard cause they were all new training partners. Tuesday morning was 6am so first of all, I don't normally get up that early. But I was super sore from 3 practises. I somehow felt great and pushed hard again.
When Someone Gives You A Compliment...
Do you accept it? Or immediately explain why they're wrong? 😆
