Today’s Wordcore word is Croozling - snuggling down under a blanket or duvet to stay warm and cosy. Personally, I love curling up with a good book for an extra long lie, this week I'm reading a fantasy novel - When the moon hatched - Sarah A Parker - which I am loving! All about dragons and secret powers. What is your ideal croozling setup? Blanket, drink, book, playlist, socks, candle, pet, silence?

My favorite setup would be on the couch in our living room, under a blanket, with a cup of green tea and a great book. No other people around, please 😆.
Wordcore - Croozling
Today’s Wordcore word is Croozling - snuggling down under a blanket or duvet to stay warm and cosy. Apparently it comes from old Scottish dialect, which feels rather perfect because I’m Scottish, and I do love a good croozle under a blanket. This week we’re exploring gratitude in ordinary moments, and I think croozling fits that beautifully. Sometimes gratitude is not a grand thing. Sometimes it’s an extra five minutes under the duvet!

I love this word, matches perfectly my style of waking up and getting out of bed - with lots of croozling (so much so that I got out of bed this morning an hour after the alarm went off 😁).

The Gentle Turn
This week we stayed with the theme Small Joys, Big Medicine and truthfully, it has been one of those weeks where I have really felt that. Behind the scenes, I’ve been making a few lovely updates to the community. The journal links are now in place in the Classroom under Journals, and I’ve also updated my About page. I held my very first Silver Circle this week too, which I thoroughly enjoyed. That replay will be added to the Classroom soon as a free archive for Kindling members. ⭐ I’ve also been enjoying time in other communities this week. I particularly loved the masterclass from @themoneygoddess - Money in Your Stars. I highly recommend having a look if you haven’t already. It was fascinating on so many levels, including some I hadn’t even considered before. ⭐ I’ve also been reading Miracles Are Normal, now out in paperback, co-written by Lauren Kinghorn @miraclesarenormal. It’s such a lovely pick-me-up, and it felt beautifully aligned with this week’s theme. A reminder that often the smallest things carry the deepest medicine. As we move into next week, our new theme is Gratitude in Ordinary Moments. That feels especially meaningful to me right now, because today I realised that many of my ordinary moments are not ordinary at all. We work so hard to shape the life we live, and this morning I felt such a strong shift into the present. Not pulled back by the weight of the past, and not reaching ahead for answers from the future - just here. Safe. Real. Present. It felt deeply freeing. So that is the intention I’m carrying into the week ahead- to be present in the moments that make up my life, and to meet them with gratitude.

Lovely! I just had one of those moments myself, appreciating the Now as I was sipping my coffee on the porch, sunshine in my back, listening to the birds' songs... so beautiful, so relaxing. So ordinary -- and not 💖💖💖.
Wordcore - PERSPICIENCE.
Perspicience means the ability to notice or perceive something with clarity. It felt like such a beautiful fit for this week’s gratitude theme: Small joys, big medicine. Because some of the things that help us most are not dramatic. They do not arrive with fanfare. They arrive quietly, almost hidden inside ordinary life. A deep breath, the moment you notice something beautiful. A pause in your day that softens you. Just something small and lovely that brings you great reward - to me its, journaling, beach walks, my new love of humming. Sometimes the medicine is not in something bigger.Sometimes it's in having the clarity to notice how much it helps. That's what I love about this word.It reminds me that gratitude is not always about adding more. Sometimes it's about seeing more clearly. Journal starting line: Something small that held more medicine than I realised was… Save this word for the week and see what becomes more visible when you slow down enough to notice it.

... engaging with my parents' dogs -- the look in their eyes, the genuine joy of seeing me, the warmth of "kissing" my hand -- they all hold so much more medicine than we realize on the spot!
