Oh memory lane! I had one in the early 90's ... used it in my babies room with chamomile for teething. Would pop light on, with oil in ring, while getting baby ready for bed. I swear it helped! It was back when I knew nothing about essential oils, but felt they were magical so had to have them and all the local shops had available were lavender, chamomile and tea tree.
Focused Study Synergy staring Rosemary Essential Oil
Focused Study Synergy Intention: A bright, herbaceous, invigorating synergy for 12 years of age+ to awaken the senses, support focus and concentration for studying whilst lifting mood. Formulation: · 1.50g (30%) Rosemary, ct camphor (Rosmarinus officinalis) · 1.25g (25%) Spike Lavender (Lavandula latifolia) · 1.00g (20%) Peppermint (Mentha x piperita) · 1.25g (25%) Lemon (Citrus limon) Place all the essential oils into a sterilized 5ml amber glass orifice reducer bottle and mix well. Allow the essential oils to synergize with each other for at least 24 hours. To make an Inhaler Stick: · 0.7g (10 drops) of Synergy · 1 Blank Inhaler stick. Pour the designated synergy amount into a small glass or ceramic sterilized bowl. Place a blank organic cotton wick into the bowl to soak up the essential oils for a minute. Using tweezers, pick up and place the cotton wick into the inhaler stick and secure with the closure cap. To use the inhaler aroma in each nostril when needed. To make a 2.11% Roller Ball: · 0.2g (4 drops) Synergy · 10ml Jojoba oil Mix and pour into the roller ball. Allow to synergize for 24 hours before using. Apply to the pulse points of the wrists. Inhaler. Diffuser: Add no more than 5 drops into a water-based diffuser and set the timer for 15-30 minutes max, then off for 1-2 hours before turning back on if needed for the same diffusion time. Why these Oils were chosen: Rosemary ct. camphor: · Traditionally used to support mental clarity, memory retention, recall, and concentration. · How it works is that rosemary essential oil is a cholinergic agent that prevents the breakdown of key neurotransmitters and increases brain-boosting activity via inhalation. It interacts with and inhibits acetylcholine breakdown due to rosemary's high 1,8-cineole content (23.38%), a known acetylcholinesterase inhibitor. Acetylcholine is essential for processing, memory, and concentration, so by inhibiting the enzymes that break it down, rosemary keeps high levels of this neurotransmitter active in the brain, a similar mechanism to how some pharmaceutical drugs are given to dementia patients.

Every time I read "fumes" I got the ick. It made me think of petrol or gas leaks 🤦‍♀️, not how I want to think of the lovely scent that comes from a sniffy stick I've made! I will also vouch for opening the wick and dripping the oils on the inside, so when the wick goes back in the tube, the oils don't have any contact with the plastic. The inhaler definitely holds the aroma this way too, and doesn't dry out as quickly.
Jane made me share it ... 🤣🤣
Cha-mar-ma-lay is now my most favourite EO word 🤣🤣🤣 https://youtube.com/shorts/dDPBxRBehgc?si=7xmIXJteYyka-a8W
Aromatherapy's secret code speak!
A couple times a year, I get together with my students on a zoom call to discuss which EO they ARE. NOT which EO is their favourite, but which EO reflects their personality. It's really interesting to see which EO each of them identify with and if it changes with their growth. Today, I was exchanging a few messages with one of my said students, and she described her life over the last 3 months as being Grapefruit, just that one word. Those who know, know 😂. I immediately understood how her life has been, without having to go into huge detail with her. It also made me giggle! So, with this in mind, which EO perfectly describes your day, or the past few days/weeks? Not an EO that you NEED, just an oil that would be "Code" to sum up your life just now. Here's the personality of an EO that sums up the last 3-4 days of my life. People I have tagged should be able to work it out.... 😂 "One of my favourites when it comes to these ‘new’ EO’s. Its immediate effect was rather like the Blue Anemone, ‘just be’, switch off and be still. As soon as the stillness kicked in, the scent became almost over-powering and I had to move the bottle further away so I just got gentle wafts, like a breeze off the sea, but it wasn’t a sea breeze smell. Its perfume had me standing on a cliff top, looking out to sea at the rising sun, its warmth on my face, but I could not make a link to the sea smell that I’m quite familiar with having grown up on Anglesey. I felt it had more to do with the sun’s warmth, with my eyes shut and a gentle fresh breeze, "?" is far from a fresh air smell, it has an intoxicating and almost cloying perfume. Still being drawn to the warmth of the sun on my face, I was drawn further into the healing abilities of the sun. Besides the sun providing us with VitD, I felt it could melt away unfriendly bacteria and microbes. The deeper I went; I saw little sparks of light on a deeply cellular level in different parts of my body as though dysfunctional, redundant, damaged cells were being zapped. This feeling extended to places where negative thoughts and emotions were stored too. Hmmmm…… very interesting!

My "Code Oil" ... If I had to choose one essential oil to reflect where I am right now, it would be Mimosa. There’s something about it that feels like a gentle exhale… like I don’t have to push so hard anymore. Its got a soft, honey, floral scent which mirrors the space I’ve been moving into recently.... one of ease, self-acceptance, and allowing instead of pushing & striving. Over the last few weeks, I’ve been accepting that growth doesn’t always have to come through intensity or deep release. Sometimes, it comes through choosing to being kinder to myself, allowing myself to be gentler as I slow down, and to trust that I am already enough as I am, while still growing into who I’m becoming. Mimosa feels like a reminder to enjoy the journey. To let joy in without questioning it. To have those quieter reflective moments and recognise how far I’ve come. My dreams and aspirations are still there, I'm still focusing on expanding, but I’m approaching them now with more trust, and less pressure. Mimosa has this gentle nudge effect on my soul… a reminder that I can wake up each day and simply choose to show up a little more aligned, a little more open, a little more me than I was the day before. Spiritually, it feels like a return to my heart, to my truth, to a softer way of being. A reminder that I can grow, expand, and evolve… without needing to feel I'm battling my way through, the gentler approach is enough. I am Mimosa… I am soft without being weak, growing without forcing, and carry the quiet power of transformation. 🌼✨ *photo of my own baby mimosa tree 😍🌼
