Quick questions...
Hi @Hugo Barbera - I have a few questions about the next challenge... Should the 3 final images feel like they belong to the same editorial story/publication, with a shared look and feel? Or can they be treated as 3 separate fashion images for 3 different publications around the World Cup theme? For example Dazed photography looks very different to Arena Homme+. Also, when you say ā€œrelated to the World Cupā€, do you mean literally ...football kits, stadiums, flags, match context ...or can it be more interpretive, like fan culture, national identity, atmosphere or after the game emotion? And for the brands... should the garments feature recognisable logos / specific brand pieces, or is it enough that each image clearly draws from the styling language of different brands? Many thanks!

@Hugo Barbera now I don't understand at all. We should do three images related to World Cup. These three images are for different brands. So they will have different stories, different visuals because brands have different DNA but are related to a world cup. Do I understand right? Thank you

Please watch the video carefully and make a great work! PS The new challenge will be reviewed in 2 weeks as Maria and I are going to Tblisi to speak here https://gtwt.ge/lineup if anyone is attending let us know! And if you want to attend we can give disc codes

weekly chaleng - second attempt :)
Since I wasn't completely sure what level of similarity was expected, I created two different versions. The first version stays as close as possible to the original image while still being a new and distinct composition rather than a direct copy. The second version features a completely different character but preserves all of the key visual attributes extracted from the reference image, including the color palette, lighting, camera angle, character positioning, background elements, overall mood, and visual style. Process is the same in both cases. First, I analyzed the image to understand its key visual characteristics. Then, I uploaded it into an application I once built to replicate the visual style of famous film directors. The app analyzes the image and extracts color hex codes, lighting information, camera settings, and other cinematography data. In short, it captures all the technical parameters that define the image’s style, color palette, and lighting and overall mood of the visual. This becomes the base prompt that I use in the next stage. After that, I wrote a prompt describing the character, where they are standing based on the reference image, and what appears in the background—essentially the same way we normally describe a scene in a prompt. Finally, I combined these two prompts. As a result, I can generate completely different characters while consistently preserving the original color grading, lighting, camera angle, and overall visual style.

After reviewing the assignment, I realized I had initially misunderstood the objective. The goal was actually to replicate the original image as accurately as possible rather than create a variation inspired by it. To accomplish that, I used ChatGPT to help reverse-engineer the image by generating a detailed prompt that described the original photograph. I then used that prompt to recreate the image as closely as possible. To maintain character consistency and better understand the subject, I also created a character sheet with multiple angles and views of the character. Once I had a recreation I was satisfied with, I used Google Nano Banana Pro to upscale and refine the image quality. My focus throughout the process was on analyzing the original image's composition, wardrobe, styling, lighting, color grading, pose, facial features, and overall mood in order to reproduce it as accurately as possible.

@Jon Sickmeyer I really like this image. I still don’t understand the task but it seems this direction is right. Replicate not interprete. And in the same way we should not do the same. I think to use an another hero is the right way but I am also not sure.
