I dropped my XPersis razor yesterday and it broke. So I went out and bought a new razor, a Van Der Hagen Traditional. This seems to be the safety razor that is the most available in my area followed by the King Gillette. I immediately tried out the razor using the supplied blade. It works well but I think I prefer the Feather Blades I had using. The VDH blades are not quite as sharp but do a good job.

It's supposed to be a scorcher of a day in LA, so I am going with a linen sports coat and short sleeve button down. Hope everyone is staying cool for the weekend. You already know I love white sneakers, if you're acquainted with me here. Another clothing item I love to bits are white shirts - from dress shirts to T-shirts, polo shirts, Henleys, whatever. I just love me some sparkling white shirts! 1. They are so easy to style - it pairs well with almost any other color. (Call me lazy or boring 😄, I'm cool with that!) It's a menswear neutral color that serves as a base canvas on which you can build any outfit combination. 2. White shirts are the ultimate menswear cheat sheet! Whether you have only one or you have ten, nobody except an eagle-eyed menswear expert/afficionado will notice. Lol! There was a period I had only one white dress shirt, I so rocked the shirt you'd never believe I had just that one shirt. (If you look closely at the attached picture collage - pictures taken over few weeks apart. I had the exact same white shirt on in all the outfits, except for one in which I wore a light blue striped shirt). 3. I admit, they're high maintenance though. You need to treat them with great care. Once it's dirty, frayed or discolored, it loses its appeal/value. But if you take care of your white shirts, they will serve you well. This reason is why many prefer its first cousin, the light blue dress shirt. And I love those ones too but it seems white is my first love. 😄 Gentlemen, what are your thoughts/opinions about white shirts?
