Hello folks! 👋🏼
I'm an Engineer and an Explorer, originally from New Delhi. My general inclination towards self discovery is what lead me to join this community. As we all know, internet is filled with bad life advice/half truths from misdirected individuals or pure malice. I believe it's easier to debug yourself with like minded individuals in an honest setting, think of it like a fiduciary duty which is easier to maintain due to no conflict of interests over joining some Sigma grindset 😅 In my life, I've accomplished a fair bit of travels, intentful relocations for my career and personal growth. Mainly: - January 2017: Moved to Bangalore to be in the Indian Tech scene. - November 2018: Moved to Galway, Ireland to work for a tech Startup I believed would hit Unicorn status in next 5 years. There was also Bensheim, Germany with my current employer but that was more of a corporate role and not aligned with my growth mindset. - August 2021-2023: Travelled all across the Republic of Ireland on my motorbike. - September 2022: Did a solo EuroTrip on my motorbike across 6 countries, spanning 5000+ KMs roundtrip. - November 2025: Moved to Dublin to be in the middle of the Irish Tech scene. As for my career: My path in technology has always been guided by a simple principle: when I see something interesting, I dive in to understand how it works. This curiosity took me from teaching myself PHP in high school (2008), building my first software products (solo startup) to pursuing advanced online coursework from MITx and Stanford during my university years which really shaped me as an engineer. My "professional" career began in 2017 at FICO, where I proactively transitioned from an intern to the team's first full-stack developer and delivered their next generation AML, KYC and Embargo solution; receiving a spot award for the same. My research into complex data visualization challenges later led me to my next role at Siren, where I contributed to their platform and built lasting professional relationships across Europe.

@Dario Costa Ciao Dario! Grazie mille for the kind words, I happen to know another sound lad from Bologna (more like a remote hilltop near it). Have you given much thoughts on the products for your research on "Sacred Geometry"? I usually find Chatbots very good for rubber ducking some ideas. Un saluto!
Hi everyone 👋
My name is Elena Thompson. I’ve been dealing with long-term tinnitus for quite a while, and through that journey I’ve become really interested in how our brains and nervous systems work especially things like focus, stress, and sensory sensitivity. I joined this community because I’m curious to learn more about ADHD experiences and how people manage things like attention, overwhelm, and daily routines. In my free time I enjoy learning about health, nervous system regulation, and simple habits that improve quality of life. I’m also someone who appreciates meaningful conversations and shared experiences. Looking forward to learning from everyone here and connecting along the way. 😊

Thanks Elena! I also happen to have tinnitus since 2019 but with no hearing loss. Mine started with an ear infection, I personally find: - Certain positions (like while sleeping) induce it more than others. - It's actually easier to focus on work by simply focusing on the sound to clear your thoughts, think of it like workplace meditation/focused work. - It's easier to accept it and just learn how to work around the annoyance than keep rejecting the idea of having tinnitus. - You can also just drown it simply by turning on a table fan. You can reduce speed, change direction if you don't want too much wind. > how people manage things like attention, overwhelm, and daily routines. I personally use Trello boards for short-term (next 3 months) and medium term planning (next 4 years). Daily tasks go to a physical notepad. Work tasks in the Mac Notes app: - New note for each day, written at end of day yesterday (memory dump, future planning). For overwhelm, I do not like beating myself up for not achieving my final goals everyday. Make SMART goals (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound), focus on consistency, do not move the goalposts, dissect ambiguity to a level you feel comfortable dealing with. I strive for 70% success rate, 100% success basically means I'm self-limiting myself to a comfort zone and not expanding. If it dips below 50% then I'm biting off more than I can chew or there's an issue in my current approach. To me, there are two types of things you'll deal with in life: - Situations where you have control/can take actions to solve. - Situations where nothing much can be done on your end (like tinnitus). Then you focus on ways to mitigate/circumvent/accept. How do you deal with focus, stress, and sensory sensitivity?
