Why Brands Pay for Influence, Not Just Content
I know that most influencers focus on growing. But Smart influencers focus on positioning. Because brands don’t pay the most to the biggest creators. They pay the most to the creators who help them achieve a clear business outcome. This is where most influencers stay “replaceable.” Smart influencers become performance partners. Here’s the difference. Basic Creator Mindset “I have 50K followers. My engagement is 6%. My rate is $300 per post.” Smart Influencer Mindset “My audience is startup founders and SaaS marketers. When I share tools, people sign up, test, and talk about them. I help brands drive trials and educated users.” See the shift? One sells content space. And The other sells audience behavior. Brands care about 3 business outcomes -> Attention Can you help them get in front of the right people? -> Consideration Can you help people understand the product and why it matters? -> Conversion Can you influence signups, downloads, or purchases? When you understand which of these you are strongest at, you stop guessing your prices and start justifying them. For example: If your tutorials regularly get saved and shared, you are strong at consideration. If people often ask you “link?” or “what tool was that?”, you are strong at conversion intent. If your videos reach new audiences consistently, you are strong at awareness. Most influencers try to be good at everything. But Smart ones learn into their strength and pitch brands based on that. This is how you increase your value And yah one more thing Start tracking patterns, not just likes. Notice things like: • Do people comment with buying questions? • Do brands get traffic spikes when you post? • Do followers say they tried something because of you? • Do your tutorials get long watch time? These signals show influence depth, not just popularity. Then change how you speak to brands. Instead of saying: “My rate for one video is $500.” Say: “My audience trusts my software recommendations. My past tutorials have driven strong interest and trials. I focus on helping brands turn viewers into educated users, not just views.”

@Fahad Ali yah u can think like that
For creators only
Do you ever think about why brands don’t just pay for content… because they actually pay for influence? A lot of influencers think brands are paying for: 1 reel 1 video a few stories But that’s not really what’s happening. Brands aren’t just buying content pieces like it’s a menu. They’re paying for the effect your content has on your audience. Like… if people just watch your content, you’re a creator. But if people actually trust you and take action because of you, you’re an influencer. And that difference is exactly what increases your value. What brands are really looking for When a brand checks your profile, they’re lowkey thinking: Do people actually trust this person? Is their audience like our actual customers? Do followers listen when this creator recommends something? Does their promo feel natural… or forced and awkward? Follower count can help you get noticed, sure. But trust is what gets you repeat brand deals, not just one-time payments. Influence matters more than virality A video going viral can get crazy views, yeah. But like… if no one clicks, signs up, buys, or even remembers the brand, it doesn’t really help that much. Meanwhile, a smaller creator with a loyal, focused audience can drive way more sales and signups than a huge page with random followers. That’s why so many brands prefer niche creators now instead of just big general pages. So how do you become more valuable to brands? You become more influential when you: Talk about one clear topic again and again, not random stuff Share real experiences, not just surface-level info Explain and teach, not only entertain Build a community, not just chase numbers Give honest opinions, not only hype everything up When your followers feel like, “If this person recommends it, it’s probably actually good” that’s real influence. Why this changes how much you can charge Creators usually get low payments when they sell like: “1 post = this price.” But influencers who earn more are selling access to a trusted audience that actually listens and takes action.

QUESTION
Hey everyone, Quick question. if a brand is interested in seeing what influencers i have, how do I even present it to them? Do I send just their username and info or a screenshot of their pages or something else and before I do how do I make sure they dont bypass me. Thanks in advance.

If brands are bypassing you, it’s usually not because they’re shady, it’s because your positioning is weak. When you sound like someone who’s just passing messages, you become easy to remove. The fix is simple: stop acting like a middleman and start acting like the person running the process. Always position yourself as the one controlling timelines, deliverables, approvals, and payments. Before looping in the creator, lock everything down and make it clear you’re structuring the campaign. When cutting you out creates confusion and risk, brands won’t even try. ( if you start thinking from the brand perspective, your 99% of the problems are solve )
Yet Another question
Hi guys, So i haven't started outreaching to brands mainly because I'm still warming up my email, I should be able to start tomorrow but before I do I have some concerns. I know it's kinda hard to get replies from brands, but if all goes well and I do get a brand reply who's actually interested in working with me shouldn't I already have influencers to pitch ready? That's why I wanted to ask if I should start emailing creators first to see who's interested in working with me and having them ready or I should stick with brands first then creators later. P.S. I'll need help testing my email tomorrow so if anyone's willing to help it'll be much appreciated.

Nah bro this isn't a bad idea but it makes your work difficult better is to contact to brand first
