Scraping nightmare.
I am just about ready to put my computer out in the rain. Been at this stupid agentic workflow for what seems an eternity. N8n with Claude, should have been relatively simple JOB: Client request: They use squarespace. Ecom site. Wanted ā€˜quick product data and import’. Simple, right? No. The plan was 4 parts: Create automation to convert the clients various csv to match template for squarespace āœ… done. Automate google sheets repository for versioning and logical ordering of client data āœ… done. Add automated markup parameters for their pricing vs supplier āœ… done. Create agentic fuzzy Scrape all the product data and images from their supplier site NOT TICK 😔🤬😔 not done. Grrrr. Create automation to enrich description content āœ… done. Create automation to push products to auto populate site and check for changes, stick levels, errors āœ… done. Claude and I and firecrawl have gone round and round, with n8n mcp, firecrawl mcp. Claude can scrape it all just fine and plonk it in the sheet. But as I explained, if either I or Claude are manually doing it, it’s not automated, uses a tonne of tokens, and can t be replicated if we are not on hand. Stupid supplier sites are dynamic, big commerce product cdn. And somewhere between the Claude node and firecrawl parse then scrape nodes, errors. Every. Single. Time - fifty million times it feels like. Help.

@Hicham Char the standard scrapers couldn’t ā€˜see’ the data in the supplier site.
Dev virtual workdesk
I don’t know about any of you, but I always struggle with the vast array of tools and software that’s all over the place - going to different tabs, minimising and maximising apps, some stuff in repositories, some in dbs, etc etc and just the sheer messiness of the virtual workspace that is software engineering. I have hunted for over a year for anything that would give a nice cohesive unified work environment. There are some bitsa apps that start to address it but nothing cohesive. So I built my own šŸ™‚ Last night I finished the MVP for DevSpace - the first (that I know of anyway) fully unified infinite canvas virtual desk for design & software development. It’s managed and overseen by an AI assistant, use choose with api key input and measureable counters, with chat prompt function. Finally your AI can ā€˜see’ what you see as you are seeing it. In real time. No more explaining and screenshots and charges to point to what you want lol. Like it’s right in there and can actively assess and create with you, as you do. You can pin all of your apps in DevSpace, code snippets, design Ui with the graphic tools, connect apps, scribble on them, add post-its to them and spread them out on the ā€˜floor’ of the canvas for as far as you want with the infinite space. It’s built on electron, next.js, tailwind. I’m using supabase and GitHub in the back at the moment. It’s still in testing but I’m hoping to launch it proper in December. I love it already. ā˜ŗļø

@Kevin troy Lumandas thanks ā˜ŗļø Yeah even just playing around with it last night I could see how relaxing it is. You can have multiple apps ā€˜open’ at the same time maximised - bliss.
šŸš€New Video: The Cheapest & Easiest Way to Self-Host n8n (Beginner's Guide)
In this video, I’ll show you the cheapest and easiest way to self-host n8n using a Hostinger VPS, even if you’re a complete beginner. Self-hosting can feel scary at first, but with this setup you don’t need any DevOps or technical background. I walk you through the full process step by step, including one-click installation, how to set up automatic backups, how to update and maintain your instance, and how to scale it when you need more power. By the end, you’ll have your own private and secure n8n environment that runs smoothly, costs less, and lets you sleep at night knowing everything is in your control. @Jon Billington oh no way! That’s terrible. Yeah I’ve found with them you have to be prepared to wing it lol. Great pricing and high spec’d servers for that pricing - better specs than hostinger for about the same price. I don’t even contact support anymore - my AI and I just much around with it till we get it doing what I want 🤭
Accidentally built an AI Animation App
A bit of a funny for Wednesday hump day…. The state of the internet now…. šŸ˜‚ Yesterday I wanted to animate my little logo cartoon mascot, so I jumped online like I’ve done a bunch of times before. I plugged in the normal basic prompts. And waited. It seemed to take an awfully long time …. Waiting …. 🧐 And then very unexpectedly, out popped my brand new AI fully functional animation app, named annoyingly after my cartoon mascot. It’s ready to deploy and a fully functional Veo ai based image to animation app. šŸ‘€ By absolute and complete accident. 🤭 Imagine what could be built if I was paying attention šŸ¤¦šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø šŸ˜‚

What do yall think about my AI automations portfolio?
Hey yall, This is my first post, and I want to share my automations portfolio that I created with the intent to send when sending cold emails or for automation job listing in Upwork or Skool. Let me know what you think in the comment section. I put a lot of effort and time behind it, and I want to keep on making it better and better.
