Posted this on @atbiz_ would love to know your opinions also. I think there should be more athletic trainer owned businesses covering these sporting events.

@Jenna Doggett yeah kinda. Imagine working a sideline and you have physical therapy on your chest but you tell people you’re an athletic trainer. In my opinion, it just creates confusion. I went to school for athletic training. I’m proud to be an athletic trainer. I have no problem wearing it on the back of my shirt. Athletic trainers and athletic training profession need to market themselves better.

@Brennon King yeah I believe she did, I was just listening to the California episode since I’m from there. But I would just encourage ATs to start their own PRN companies, I think it helps the profession if we control our own destinies haha

Another Skool page I love
I wanted to take the opportunity to share another Skool page I’ve been a part of since its inception. This is geared toward all rehab clinicians and is run by a PT, Jason Schuster who owns intricate art spine and body solutions which is a CEU provider of dry needling, nutrition, spinal manipulation and more. I took Jason’s dry needling course in June of 2024 and when I tell you it’s impossible not to love the guy, I mean it. There is tons of value in his Skool page, just like this one with CEUs and clinical and business strategies and even resources for consulting to improve your clientele. Introduction
Hello! My names Jake (no not from State Farm) and I’m an ATC at a high school in Iowa. I’ve been out of college for about 8 years, done 6 years in the HS setting with some overlap in the industrial setting. Been covering industrial athletic training for 7 years and covered about 15 different contracts. Just recently I started posting content on TikTok and Instagram and have tried putting myself out there more. I’d say so far so good! Eager to meet a few more likeminded ATCs! Happy Hump Day! 🐫

How would you structure this?
I’m going to be available to strongman athletes at the Official Strongman Games in Florida next month. I’m wondering how I want to market my services? I’ll be at an Airbnb so treatment pre, post, and during the competition. It’s a 3 day event with almost 400 athletes! Do I offer packages? Timed sessions? I’m open to any and all ideas!

I would try to get the event to post your offerings on social media so people can plan before hand expense wise that you will be there. I’ve had to learn the hard way at these events that I wish I marketed to the event goers sooner rather than the day of.
