THERE WILL BE 15 DAYS OF STITCHES TOTALING 150 STITCHES. 🧵 NEW COMMUNITY GAME: The Cozy Stitch Relay! Let’s make a collaborative little sampler — together! Here’s how it works: - We'll start with a 6×6 fabric and add 1 tiny stitch in the center (any stitch you want). - Then I’ll call for Player #1 by name. - Player #1 will comment and tell us10 stitches to add (USING ANY COMBINATION OF THESE STITCHES: running stitch, straight stitch, chain stitch, backstitch, lazy daisy stitch, cross stitch, seed stitch, pistil stitch, French knots.) (Example: 3 running stitches, 2 cross stitches, and 5 French knots = 10 stitches) - We'll all stitch them onto our 6 x 6 inch background fabric anywhere we choose. They do NOT have to be stitched in a row. Put them anywhere you wish. - I'll then call Player#2. - Player #2 will comment and tell us10 stitches to add - We will continue this pattern for 15 rounds. If we have more than 15 sign up, we'll add more rounds.

From the Craft World Outside to Our Cozy Corner
Welcome to our Cozy Craft Trend Update--where I share a few creative trends, maker happenings, and inspiring ideas from the crafting world — filtered through our cozy, creative lens. ______________________________________ Crafting as Self-Care Is Still Growing Crafting isn’t just about making pretty things anymore — it’s becoming a major wellness movement. Reports show people are turning to hands-on crafts for calm, connection, and mental health. Repetitive crafts like knitting, stitching, and journaling are especially popular because they help people unplug from screens and stress. Cozy takeaway: Your crafting time isn’t indulgent — it’s genuinely good for you. Reference: (Martha Stewart) Craft trends reports highlight crafting as self-expression, connection, and wellness support.

Lynda I can attest to the crafting as self care and therapy. I started doing this becuz I was deep into depression and anxiety that medication alone was not working. I needed something that brought me joy and something that I thought I was at least decent at and something that gave me purpose. I got deathly sick 6 yrs ago and then covid. I isolated almost out of existence. My life changed completely after the big sick. I was forced into retirement I had to move from the beach in Alabama back home to upstate NY. My mental health crashed and truly creating brought me back. This community and the rebel community have even further put me in a place where I can now take care of my father. So thank for that.

@Lynda Coker I could probably do it but I have no scraps no fabric scissors I flew here I couldn’t bring much in a small unchecked suitcase. TSA would have definitely taken my fabric scissors and I would’ve not been able to fly😖✈️. You know nobody touches my fabric scissors ✂️ 🤣🤣🤣

Stitch as Much as You Can While You Can!
A thoughtful insight into aging and creative time: Seasons rush by my window, tightly closed and curtains drawn Never to know the yearning I have to reach my hand and capture time Today I will, "I will," I say, lift my window high and wide And beckon ever so sweetly, perhaps I'll chance to make it mine
