Got my first client (kind of...), and need help on the way forward.
Hey everyone! I got my first win (sort of...); someone in my co-working space reached out to me, and I made an automation for them that takes their Facebook instant form submission and invites them to the latest onboarding webinar through Google Calendar. I offered them to do this project for free in exchange for a testimonial and case study. I sat through the setup with the client beside me for 2 hours 💧; it included: - Hostinger VPS KVM 1 - OpenAI API - Meta Developers account and App ID/App Secret - Google Cloud credentials Unfortunately the automation broke because when it was set to live, they were getting leads every 5 minutes, and the Google Calendar update node threw an error 403 sometimes due to API rate limits. I don't know why that happened. I then modified the workflow such that new leads are stored in a Google Sheet, and every 5 minutes, a scheduled trigger runs which fetches the lead emails in the Sheet and loops over each email, inviting them to the latest webinar. Let's see how that goes. Now here's where I need your help. I know this question has been answered before, but I just want to gain clarity. 1. If the client creates and configures their own credentials, the implementation process is quite lengthy, and if it's remote communication (not being physically beside), it can be quite technical and complex for them to set up, so to make it easy and quick for them, what can we have ownership of, and what are they required to set up (besides the LLM API)? 2. Next, I want to mention that I've exhausted all my warm connections, including those in my co-working space. I would appreciate any advice on the way forward. Should I go for cold outreach? If so, any strategies? My aim is to get 5-10 testimonials/case studies to build trust and momentum. Thank you for reading this far and for your immense support.

@Rachel Myers Tell me about it; this experience has taught me a lot. I appreciate the tips on credentials and outreach; thanks for your input. Regarding the outreach and offers, is there a specific way, via email? or some other mode of communication, should I pick a niche, or should I still deliver the automation I made in this project?

Need Help: WhatsApp Workflow Executing Multiple Times & Memory Not Working
Hi everyone, I’m having an issue with my WhatsApp chatbot workflow. It’s executing multiple times even when it’s not supposed to — almost like the flow is being triggered more than once for a single message, even when there doesn’t seem to be anything causing that to happen. I've tried to set the "Typing Indicator" and WhatsApp trigger to execute once, but it doesn't work. I just want the workflow to execute normally once, instead of 4 times. Also, the memory function doesn’t seem to be working properly. For example, when I provide my name and later ask the bot what my name is, it doesn’t remember or use the stored information. Has anyone experienced this before or know what might be causing it? Any help or suggestions would be really appreciated! I’ve attached a video showing the issues. If you need any more information, please let me know and I’ll provide it. Thanks in advance!

Eager to Automate: My 2 Months Journey So Far!
Hey everyone! I’m Aditya, and I’m an automation builder who’s been diving deep into this world for the past two months. I’ve already built several chatbots and automations to help businesses save time and scale. Here's the deal: I absolutely love building things that make life easier, and I’m ready to jump into my next project! If you’ve been thinking about getting an automation built—maybe a new lead-gen chatbot , customer support chatbot, ai voice agent , streamlining an internal process, or any task that eats up your time—I’d be genuinely excited to help you build it from scratch at a really reasonable cost. I'm actively looking for work and committed to delivering results. You can check out some of the projects I’ve completed here: My Portfolio Let's chat! Send me a DM or comment below if you have a task in mind, or just want to connect. Thanks, guys!

Great commitment, Aditya! Your portfolio looks solid. A little advice, which I learnt from videos, is to sell the outcome/result of your automations. The client isn't really concerned if you use GPT-20, but what you provide solves their pain point. All the best with your journey!
Feeling Stuck — How Did You Find Your First Clients When Starting Out?
Hey everyone, I’ve been building my presence on LinkedIn and sharing content about automation, but growth has been slow — and honestly, I’m feeling a bit despondent about it. I’m focused on helping small businesses and independent professionals save time and money through automation — not trying to build a full agency, just offer practical solutions that make a real difference. For those of you who do client work: - How did you first start getting clients? - Was it through outreach, referrals, social media, or something else that worked for you? I’d really appreciate hearing what helped you get your first few clients or any good resources you’d recommend. Also — should I join AIS+ or the accelerator launching this Monday? I was thinking that it may help in the client acquisition process.

@Ryan Caldwell Thanks for your help. So it's picking a niche and solving one problem for free or a fair price, so that you can build credibility?
Thank you
