Hello everyone, my name is Udo and I’m joining from Ireland. I work as a Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist, and outside of work I have a strong interest in personal development, mindfulness, history, and martial arts. My martial arts background is still fairly limited, but I have a growing interest in traditional Japanese martial arts and especially in weapon-based arts. I’ve always been fascinated by the samurai tradition, the philosophy of Bushidō, and the discipline, mindset, and personal development connected with it. Kenjutsu is something I have wanted to explore for quite some time, both from the practical and historical perspective. I’m looking forward to learning from more experienced members here, and gaining a deeper understanding of the art and culture surrounding Kenjutsu.
