🌍 Passion Projects: A Love for Travel
Travel has always held a special place in my heart. Not just the destinations —but the connections to the people and to the way of life abroad. There was a time when travel felt like a dream. I’d quietly packed away any thought of being able to travel, responsibility, and routine have a way of doing that. One of the unexpected gifts of building my digital business has been the ability to brush that dream off again —to say yes to trips, to moments, to experiences that once felt out of reach. Travel reminds me who I can be, out of my home family routine. It stretches my mindset and softens my heart, allowing me to create memories that stay long after the suitcase is unpacked. Looking back at travel photos can lift your mood and reconnect you with that sense of freedom. So let’s make this a shared moment 👇 📸 I’d love for you to share a travel photo in this thread. - Somewhere you’ve been - Somewhere you love - Somewhere you dream of going - Or a small, meaningful moment from a trip No captions needed (unless you want to).Just images, memories, and stories. This is a space to celebrate travel as a passion project —one that reminds us what’s possible when we create lives with flexibility, freedom, and intention. I’ll start by sharing one of mine 💛

Just Begin!
Thank you Lindsey for reminding me
In my past - back in 2010 ( feels like a whole lifetime away now) I participated in a course called the School of Social Entrepreneurs. It was a year course, in which we created a business for the benefit of society (social Entrepreneur) My project led me to creating a Not For Profit called ASPPIRE LTD. (short for Australia South Pacific partnering in resources Enterprise). This all came as a result of a beautiful nursing outreach that my husband attended in Solomon Islands in 2009, where I wanted to be useful and ran beading workshops - teaching women to take shells from the beach and wire wrap them and make necklaces, for the women in Gilbert Camp, Honiara. At the end of our week there, an elder of the church, Janet came to me and said "You don't know what you have done!" I replied, yes I do , I have given what I can to help. Janet said, No. you have done so much more. You have given the women an income. You have lifted our worth in the home. You have given us a skill and now we can make jewelleries and take it to the market. Our husbands now see us with different eyes. After that experience I gave all the rest of my supplies to her and it really impacted the way I see things. I ran the NFP for three years but soon realised that I could do more without all the red tape that comes with the paper work and board meetings. and closed down the company. True to my realisation, I was able to provide more resources to the school and create a trade centre through the President project with the Lions Club of Parramatta, when I held the President role. Amazing. I feel like one of my "super powers" is helping people with ideas and holding a space for people to create and also being a connector and a bridge - , connecting the idea to the people/ resources. One thing that came out of all of this experience is the knowledge that you don't have to have all of the plan at the beginning. Sometimes you just need to have the "Dream" and then the rest of the pieces come together to create something beautiful - something that you could never have done on your own.
Thank you Lindsey for reminding me

My intentions for this group
My intentions for this community is that we learn and grow together. I need to make it clear that I don’t necessarily have all the skills, expertise that you may be looking for, but I certainly do love connecting people to the resources they are looking for. If there is something that you are stuck on- or needing to learn more about - lets work it out together. I was particular inspired to share this with you as it captures the heart of this experience for me: https://www.skool.com/skoolers/there-are-no-experts-here-and-theyre-not-needed?p=3c2b8a28 Simply that this is a beautiful journey of discovery and creativity and my intention is to gather a community of creatives that support, and encourage each other in our own unique journeys. On a side note - Have you ever thought about creating your own video emojis? (Like below)
