What makes you feel secure? And no, not external validation security. You. Your own security. How you feel and gain security. What. Makes. You. Feel. Secure? This is something that I continue to work on for myself and it is continual work.
Hey squad, wanted to share with you all a podcast episode I recently did with my good friend, Joe Funk. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NrLbVpemguI I would love your thoughts!
Went on a march today, for the first time in a long time I feel kind of accomplished, not necessarily proud but fulfilled. It was 15km with 20kg on my back, that hill in the distance? That was part of it too. With 2 breaks, 10 mins in heart zone 4 and a lot of hills I did it in 2:55 hours. Scenery was beautiful aswell. It was quite difficult ,and sometimes a battle. but mentally it did me well
I am allowed to appreciate my body AND still have goals for it I am allowed to stand up for myself in my relationships AND still believe this person wants what is best for me I am allowed to set boundaries with the food I eat AND still enjoy cake at a birthday party I am allowed to have a nightly routine AND still want to be out with friends on a Friday night I am allowed to have difficult moments AND still know that I have survived 100% of my worst days
When the weight of the world is happening: sick child, pet bills, job stress, breakup; why would you attempt to hit a 10/10 in every other area of your life when you're struggling to keep things together? Why would you put that much stress and expectation on yourself? You're not a machine. Allow yourself to be human. Aim for 7/10. It's ENOUGH. Life will happen. So be prepared to adapt when it does.
@Deb Edwards not at all what I meant, I'm responding to your message here, silly (check above these messages). Are you still "exhausting yourself from doing it"? *but I do love that you went and got coffee*
