Eastern Sierra Mountain Biking 5-4-25
Good day from the Eastern Sierra! 🌞 Mountain biking is sweet right now at elevations below 8,000 feet as the snow has melted away. Above the elevations, the majority of the ground still has snow on it but the snow is melting fast. 🚵♂️ Top spring picks: Lower Rock Creek Trail (LRC) & Chipmunk Canyon (watch for snakes) — some of the best spring rides around. Heads up: LRC – This is a multi-use trail, so expect hikers and dogs. It’s not a downhill bomber line — stay in control and ride respectfully. 📍 Bishop Area (4,100 ft) — Riding has been fantastic lately with a mix of warm and cool days. Dirt is dry, and some sections have loose top layers, so keep your eyes sharp. Mammoth Area (8000 ft) - More melting needed from 8000 feet up. Below is a Video from Marks List, he's done a good job highlighting some of the trails in West Bishop. When I'm not skiing this is where you will find me if I'm not in the studio.
