Have you considered getting dual nationality?
Hi, I looked at this subject a while ago, but not indepth. I think the Nomad Capitalist has a channel and talks about this a lot. Looking at the state of some western countries, living abroad might not be enough of an insurance policy to insulate us from the craziness. In some countries they have de-banked people for having political views that challenge the national governments preferred ideology, and worse. This has led me to wonder if living abroad might not be enough. What if your own country decided to issue an arrest warrant making it hard to return? Or perhaps decided to not even renew your passport? ... I am not in this situation, but one day we might all be. Who knows. Another reason people look into this might be tax purposes. I have heard that some Americans have tried to renounce their citizenship; to avoid having to pay the IRS, irrespective of whichever foreign country they live in. If so, a 2nd nationality might come in handy. Does anyone here have dual nationality? ... Or have you looked into this? – If so, what did you find out?

I'm looking to get Dual Citizenship in Sri Lanka and i currently hold a British one only. Long story re logistics but I'm hoping to get dual in the next few months. Other SE Asian countries have better infrastructures for remote working but I'd make it work for more peace in my life as my brain will short-circuit if I don't make some type of move in that direction pretty soon 😅.

@Toby Barnes Ah really! That is cool. I am dreaming of a lockdown surrounded by palm trees and the sound of exotic wildlife and the sea. But mostly a life of mono-tasking and having time to think. The latter would be the real luxury for me.
Remote Job Workshop Is Now Live in the Classroom!
What an incredible session with @Michelle Coulson from Remote Rebellion last night! Michelle packed so much value into 60 minutes. From her personal journey escaping London office life to building a successful remote career in Bali, to sharing her proven "Freedom Framework" for landing quality remote work. Key takeaways that stood out: - Why 43% of job applications go to just 9% of remote positions - The 7-step system for standing out in a crowded market - Hidden job boards and networking strategies most people miss - How to optimise your approach for the 6-second resume scan Michelle's approach goes way beyond just applying on LinkedIn. She showed specific tools, outreach techniques, and mindset shifts that actually work in today's competitive remote job market. Thanks to everyone who joined live and made it such an engaging session with all your questions and participation! What was your biggest takeaway from Michelle's workshop?

It was a great session, thank you for organising this the both of you. The biggest takeaway for me is know what your 'Why' is. Michelle was a picture of health and seemed so free from the videos compared with her old life in Bolton ✨️

I'm in my late 40s and work in Chemical Regulations remotely for 4 days a week. I am also building a global online team for a multi-patented Stem Cell Re-Activation technology that is transforming peoples health all over the world. I care about keeping humans as chemically safe as possible so i like that the technology is all natural. Started in the medical device industry about 27 years ago and have found a way to provide people with a natural health solution and also showing people how to build an income with it online. Happy to share about all things health and Stem Cell-related if you want to DM me with questions.

@Ian Reide Got it Ian. If you're looking to bring people's stem cells back online naturally, then I will DM you to show you how. It's the easiest hard work you'll ever do and it's all done online. Will message you later this week.
AI is a bubble waiting to burst… prove me wrong!
Honestly, it's getting pretty tiresome with everyone talking about how AI is going to take over the world. And all I ever hear these statements from are people who not only have no background in computer science but people who are not technical at all. AI is a predictive text engine. That is all. It isn’t conscious. It doesn’t want anything. It’s simply predicts the next word in a sentence based on probability. It doesn't remember all the stuff it is "trained" on or know the whole internet. That's why it's answers are mostly retarded and it "hallucinates" 24/7. It doesn't hallucinate by the way it isn't a human being. It's a fucking predictive text algorithm, you wouldn't talk about any other technology like it's human. Why? Because you'd look like a fucking retard. Not only that but we've always had this technology. The only reason we're seeing it now is because the cost of hardware has come down and people have thrown enormous sums of money at it (more on that in a minute) But hardware has it's limitations and so does software. Therefore, unless we fill every square inch of the ocean with water cooled data centres and power them with nuclear power plants were not gonna get much more than what we have right now. There was once a time where if you wanted your website to load faster you would have to optimise the codebase. That kind of went out the window partly because hosting became so cheap. You could just throw your website on a faster server and it would load faster. This is THE EXACT SAME SHIT. The AI companies can optimise the software or build a bigger server. One or the other. Data centres can't scale infinitely. Memory bottlenecks. And the way neural nets optimise themselves is the same way it's been working since the 80's. We’re already seeing diminishing returns. Each new generation costs exponentially more to train but the improvements are shrinking. You see what happens when you load more and more bloat on your phone right?

I know of someone in the U.S. this year who got fired from IBM among 6000 staff because A.I. took over their I.T. and some associated roles. His long-standing friend of 40 years from his school days who has a billion dollar health company took him on for his skills (CEO of the company i work for). He reassured him that his job would never be replaced by A.I. - i thought that was heartwarming to hear. They also use A.I. but only for certain specific manufacturing purposes, i suppose to take away the more menial jobs that people generally wouldn't want to do. I used to work in Surgical Robotics so I see there is a place for it there.
Healthcare
I have been researching hospitals and clinics in Chang Mai and am so impressed by the quality and high standards of the communications and websites in general. Has anyone got any feedback about experiences you have had with the healthcare system there? Would love to get to know more from a personal angle.

@Brett Dev got it Brett - so what's at the source of getting good treatment and to having peace of mind is to go with a good, reputable hospital and don't cut corners financially. Thank you 😊
