@Jimmy Hudson Oh wow I’ll have to check that one out, I’ve been listening to some of that Shakti, Shankar and srinivas stuff Shawn mentioned he admired…. In school they taught me the Ta Ka Di Mi system in my music class and I think it’s real cool that Shawn just so happened to like that method. Indian classical theory in general I think makes learning music easier

How would Shawn get influence to write?

im trying to learn how to write songs, anytime I hear a Shawn demo i get inspired to write something that has interesting chords and melodies https://youtu.be/jkb0DPVu2to?si=G3ZiCcqQf4_CtDmd who would Shawn listen to and what inspired him to write this piece? I know he listened to all different genres of music and i’d like to know his process in writing.
