Greetings!
Hello, I just want to welcome you into the Skool community! Whether you’re brand new here or you’ve been around for a bit but haven’t jumped in yet, I just want to encourage you to engage. I know there’s not a whole lot in the classroom yet, and that’s something I’m actively working on. I’ve been talking to a few folks and we’re building this together. If you’ve got ideas or just want to share your own experience, please jump in and let’s figure things out together. If I don’t get back to you right away, just know I will. We’re all here to build something meaningful and we are pursuing the same thing. Truth!

@Ali Paterson Exactly right Ali. Conversation is key in this moment in time. We each have a part to play and that can only fully be realized when we align in common spaces with focused efforts
Praying in the early mornings
Happy Friday, y’all! I keep waking in the middle of the night, and decided months ago I was a captive audience to God, and should pray. This time God asked me to pray for everyone here…for protection, steadfast hearts and intentions, healed minds through the Holy Spirit, and strength and bravery. And that others who are like-minded will find us and grow, themselves. Amen.

Musings
So I journal almost daily and teach a weekly bible study here in Alberta Canada. Writing is cathartic and critical thinking is absolutely essential. Western Countries are disintegrating in real time and our society has become very pagan, not just secular. We are morally bankrupt — and socially apathetic — and economically delusional — and politically corrupt. It is so pervasive. - Convenience—Christians have to consciously resist its alluring nature when it negatively impacts our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual flourishing. Convenience and Compromise are deadly to the Christian Soul. What do we gain in the end if we gain the whole world—if we enjoy all the conveniences and comforts of this life because we’ve compromised deeply held convictions and practices as God’s image bearers [human beings] and, by doing so, we lose our own soul—we forfeit eternal life, God’s kingdom?  What do we really gain from living a life of convenience and compromise?!   - I like what Jim Elliott, a former missionary, once said: "He is no fool who gives up what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose."  We need to give up what is worthless to gain what is priceless. Our Churches over that past fifty years have been emasculated and overly feminized—through various means: its worship songs, its pulpit teaching and preaching and its overall ethos. They are failing the Biblical Mandate—they are distorting the Gospel Message—they are ignoring Christ’s Great Commission to make healthy disciples of all nations. Instead, they are producing Christians who are shallow and petrified—and many are simply not even true followers of Christ. They are unbelievers who think they are believers. It’s a very sad state of affairs. So I close with the apostle Peter's insight: "The end of all things is near--therefore, be of sound judgment and sober spirit for the purpose of prayer. Above all, keep fervent in your love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins." [1 Peter 4:7-8]

Powerful. I agree 100%. This is not the common view among Christians right now. Many assume that because the name of Jesus is on everyone’s lips, He must also be in everyone’s heart. That’s simply not true. We have created, en masse, a shallow, emotional, non-transformative version of Christianity. Meanwhile, the enemy is running amok in the world: sowing division, deepening dependence on the flesh, and building an increasingly idolatrous culture.

Gonna definitely have to check this out!
Just want to say I love you ALL!
I held each of you in my prayers this morning, and I just want to remind you that no matter what you’re walking through, there is always something to be thankful for. I know we’ve got some who are new to the faith, some who don’t practice Christianity, and some who are seasoned vets, but the truth remains: evil wants to sap your joy, shake your confidence to keep going, isolate you from people who care, and have you drifting through life with no real expectation of happiness. Don’t fall for it. Let’s keep lifting each other up, leaning into the role of a servant, and doing our best to be the brightest, warmest lights we can be in a dark, cold world. I’m truly thankful for each of you, and I’m praying favor, peace, and joy over your life. It’s worth it. You’re important. You’re seen. God bless 🙏🏼

Christian who refuses deception. We see the enemy's tactics, speak biblical truth without compromise, and create content that cuts through the lies.
