@Trey Rachal Yes we are on Hudl. Happy to share some film with you
Great Player
Potential opponent in one of our upcoming tournament games. Girl is averaging 34 PPG. Shoots 38% from three and 52% from the field. She takes about 44% of her teams shots. Her teammates shoot 29% from the field and 26% from three. We are a LL team. Seeing what would be the best way to defend a great player out of the LL?
Porch Player Development
Coaches! I really need better coaching points and movement pointers to help my big when playing 4 around 1? Any podcast or videos to consume? I have the same basics I have taught for so long and I’m guilty of focusing my coaching eye on the perimeter. I need to grow so they can grow.

We have 3 options where our post can play. For the lesser skilled we have them play in short corner like in a zone. Looking for duck ins when given the opportunity, cross screens being set for them, or screening for guarding filling out. They can post a step above the block or play up at the High Post too. We also teach them post slides where if the ball is driven Below them they slide up the Lane Line and if the ball is driven Above them they step out towards the Short Corner. Just trying to maintain good spacing
Defending DHO with LL
My team was struggling with DHO once we got the ball on the left side of the floor. Is it better to double the ball handler or scram the on ball defender?

For us we will switch the DHO's and make sure we still Lock the basketball. We also make sure we jump to gap being chest to man and look like we are there for help on any spin back.
Lock Left Shot Chart - post season evaluation
Here is the shot chart for our opponents from last season. This is according to HUDL. My first thought, the shots attempts are definitely more of the left side. The difference in shooting percentage is pretty much nothing (actually higher on left hand side in some spots, small sample). Any adjustments or thoughts on this? This was a late addition to our season prep last year. We didn't install until first practice started. This year we will get the summer to make adjustments and will be year 2. Here are adjustments I wrote down before looking at these stats. 1. Help less ball side. Focus more on skirmish, steal pass 2. On our deny side, we were typical on the line, up the line look. Will adapt more of an open chest to ball approach this season. 3. Our close outs need to be less stutter stepping stop. Also needs to be more left side heavy to deter shot and right hand drive

Coach we were a first year Lock Left team last year. Here is our opponents shot chart from last year. Some adjustments we made throughout the season was on the Jail side of the floor being in a gap looking like we were there to help but in reality looking for steals. We also made a point of Locking the Ball Left and not getting beat on a straight line drive. Lastly making sure we were heavy on the Wall and our Bear guarding the cave. I think you are on track with your summer practice adjustments.
